Story
Baxter "The Betrayer" Aurelius Augustus Bartholomew Brownson, an 8 year old husky pit bull mix dog is up for adoption. Unlike most huskies, he's on the quiet side. And his fur is more pit bull short. He **loves** people. Whoever is the last person in the room is his absolute best-est friend ever! He's lived with another dog the last several years but they're not the best of pals. I've never seen him play with other dogs as I wasn't the original owner. I think mainly, when he visited places, Baxter would love up on the people while the other dogs played. Baxter is highly affectionate but hasn't been around young kids too much. Since his former owner played rough with him, I would be cautious around younger or frail household members. I think a family with teenagers would be the best place for him. Please share with people you think might like to adopt Baxter the Betrayer. He needs a good, loving home now that his best friend has passed away.

Story
Let me introduce myself. I’m Colson, an older gentleman, quite active for my age. Despite having Hip Dysplasia and arthritis, I have lots of play and activity left in me. You’ll find I’m very friendly with cats and I get along with most dogs. I’ve just been neutered and am still working on potty training and with my smarts I’ll have that mastered in no time! I love nothing more than a good play session with kids of all ages. I can really pour out the charm with affection and my talkative self. If you need an exercise buddy, playmate for the children, or just a nice family canine, I’m your guy! To meet me, fill out an application at waalrescue.org/adopt.

Story
Chopper is a year old husky lab mix, born in November of 2023. He is brown and tan with light golden eyes. He is extremely friendly and goofy, gets along well with everyone and everything he meets, he has grown up around children of all ages as well as cats and other dogs. Everyone who meets him says he is the nicest sweetest dog and ask if they can keep him. He loves to snuggle and lounge but also loves to run around, play fetch and go for walks. He is very high energy and definitely needs an active person/family. He is up to date on shots but is not fixed. He is also microchipped, I am sure I can change his info to whoever adopts him. He will come with his collar and kennel if wanted.

Story
Meet Marnie 🐾This 11-month-old Husky mix came to us as a stray, and despite her rough start, she's been all tail wags and sweet eyes. During her vet check, we found out she's heartworm positive, but don't worry-she'll be receiving treatment here at Helping Hands Humane Society, and we're looking for a foster-to-adopt home where she can rest and recover with a little more comfort (and a lot more love).Marnie's still a pup at heart, with all the classic Husky energy: playful, curious, and always ready to explore. She's been friendly with people and submissive when meeting other dogs-rolling over like a pro to say hello. She's ready to bring some joy (and maybe a little chaos) into someone's life, and in return, she's just asking for a soft spot to land during treatment. If you're Husky-savvy, couch-rich, and ready to be her person-Marnie's waiting. 💛 Primary Color: Black And White Weight: 26.5 Age: 0yrs 11mths 2wks
