Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I am an energetic working boy who is looking for a home to call my own! I am around 6 years old and know all of my basic commands including, sit, lay down, and off. I would love to find a family with another dog and a fenced in yard. Please no children because I am still working on my manners, including how to greet young people and strangers appropriately. I am looking for an experienced dog owner, someone who is a strong handler and is looking for a lifelong companion that is smart and will be their #1 sidekick. I cannot wait to find my forever home!   Broly's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives PLUS an obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, be altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a home visit and a vet check.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 6:20 pm

Story
Say hello to Dewdrop, the sunshine in fluffy disguise! With playful energy and a happy go lucky spirit, this young guy is surely ready to bring laughter, love, and a little bit of mischief into your life.Dewdrop is social, silly, and always down for an adventure—whether that’s a hike through the woods, a romp in the backyard, or just zoomies in the living room. According to his previous home, along with interactions here @ CVHS, he gets along beautifully with other dogs. His playful spirit and sweet nature make him a great candidate for a home with other furry friends (cats are unknown). He’s curious about the world and would thrive in a home that offers both structure and fun—someone who will keep his mind engaged and his tail wagging.Whether you’re looking for a jogging buddy, a hiking pal, or a snuggle bug with a goofy streak, Dewdrop might just be your guy!

Story
Hank the Husky is looking for a foster to adopt! This sweetheart is just about 3 years old and was surrendered to us last week through no fault of his own. He has a rear leg injury that we are treating and we want to be sure he's on the right track prior to being officially adopted. He has been very well behaved for us, but with his husky nature, he does like to run! He'd need a dedicated family that will keep him secure in a yard or by leash walking (or running) with him daily. He's up to date on vaccinations, preventatives, neutered, and will be microchipped prior to him going home. He's a quiet boy and seems to be on the calmer side. If interested in bringing home this gorgeous boy, you can find our adoption questionnaire at agcshelter.org/adopt-1. Or you can visit us Tuesday-Saturday from 1pm-4pm.
