Story
MEET BASS & TENOR! This happy and loving duo has waited much too long for a home. They are a loving, fun pair of playful dogs who need a foster or forever home! They are very affectionate toward people, and love, love, love each other. They are likely brothers, who found themselves at a crowded California shelter with no adoption interest. Fortunately they were rescued but still haven't found a home yet. They must be adopted together as they are extremely bonded. Both are almost 7 years old. Bass, the brown-and-white pup, weighs only 55 lbs., and Tenor (tan and white) weighs about 60 lbs. They are fun, active pups who love to run, play and snuggle. They would love to be adopted by someone who could take them on hikes, walks and other outings. They currently play with each other for entertainment but it'd be great for them to branch out and see the world. Bass & Tenor love to jump up and give kisses. They are not super friendly with other dogs, so should be the only dogs in the home - but they have plenty of love to give and will be grateful to whomever adopts them. If you can foster or adopt Bass & Tenor, please email for an application.

Story
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM ME, MISTO! I am a young (about a year) husky mix recently rescued from a crowded California shelter. I was terrified there, but after a few days, my sunshine personality came out! I'm a loving, dog-friendly boy who would do well with another dog in the home, or as an only dog, too. I love to play and am happy! Change is a bit scary for me so I would do well with both a patient and active person, who could take me for walks, hikes and other outings. I have the most beautiful blue eyes, and I weigh about 50 lbs. Please email for an application! I currently need a foster or forever home.

Story
Santa brought Kaya to our house Christmas Eve 8 years ago. She has been a great running partner, kid snuggler and bed time monster protector. But she has been a little traumatized by the pregnant cat and has forgotten her house training as a result. In our previous home she stayed outside most of the day in the fenced yard. In this home we haven’t been able to put in a fence and it is sad to see her spend the majority of the day in her kennel. She does well on the leash for walks. Hardly ever barks. Has never acted aggressively towards people. She prefers to meet other dogs off leash and does well when allowed to greet them on her terms. She is scared of cats and would be best in a cat free home.

Story
Meet Karma! Karma is a female, almost 4-year-old, Siberian Husky. She is 54 pounds.Karma arrived at the shelter as a stray. This girl is a goofy, entertaining, attentive, sweetheart! She loves everyone that she meets. She is very attentive and talkative. She LOVES treats! Training will be fun and rewarding with her. Karma will need an indoor home and a secure, `husky-proof` containment area to stay safe from wandering. Staff can give you lots of ideas on how to secure your yard. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. Karma has shown friendly interest in other dogs at the shelter, but we do always recommend a staff-assisted meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how she would do with cats.Karma is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and ready to go home today!
