Story
Hello I`m Martha May! I`m a very energetic little lady who loves attention and play time. I am a working dog and would love to have a job and lots of exercise! I`m young and very smart so I`ll be a quick learner. My friends don`t know how I am around children or other animals, but with some guidance I`m sure I`ll do just fine. I`m very cuddly and like to think that I`m a lap dog! Some of my friends here think I could be a good sheepdog or general farm dog. Please make sure you have the time, energy, and resources to care for me for the rest of my life.

Story
Camilla is a truly awesome dog, she has all of the trainability and intelligence of a husky, and all of the affectionate loving nature of a pittie. She’s very well-behaved and easy-going. She’s smart, beautiful and kind- the complete package. Kid friendly, and dog friendly with all sizes! Camilla is estimated to be around a year old, and weighs in at a snuggly 54 pounds. She has the softest, most beautiful coat, with shades of brown, gray, white and black flecked in, and a very fitting heart shaped marking on the back of her neck. We believe Camilla is a “Pitsky,” a Pit Bull, Husky mix. She is a rescue, so these are just our best guesses! Fall in love with Camilla here: https://youtu.be/51EZD4Vob0o?feature=shared This gorgeous girl is best described as calm and mellow, but she does have a playful side that peeks out when the time is right. She’s uber loving and affectionate, and with a few too many pets, she gets “affection zoomies.” Camilla loves to play fetch with her humans, and chase with her canine friends. She’s so tolerant and sweet with other dogs, handling our rowdiest pups with grace and ease. She’s small dog friendly and respectful with even the smallest and scruffiest of dogs. Camilla was previously fostered in a home with dogs, cats and kids. She did wonderfully with everyone, and lived like a welcome guest in her foster home. She mingled with the other pets kindly, and slept uncrated in her dog bed. Her foster mom described her as silly and sweet. She writes that Camilla “loves meeting new people and has been great with the kids. She hasn’t been destructive. She’s very playful and is very affectionate too. She has great house manners. She was an angel when going to Tractor Supply too.” Here at the rescue, Camilla was tested with kids of various ages, as young as four. Camilla did wonderfully with all of them! She did not react at all when the youngest of the kids accidentally hit her with his arm, she was gentle and sweet with all of the kids. We did notice that Camilla seemed to enjoy the company of older kids more, so we believe she would be happiest in a home with kids aged 8 and up. Camilla is amazingly well behaved. She knows a handful of basic commands, including “sit,” “lay down,” and “paw.” She’s extraordinarily easy on leash, even in public. She is very food motivated, and a gentle treat taker, making further training with her enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. Camilla also has an adorable habit of sitting between our legs during playgroups here at the rescue, a sign that she sees her humans as safety, and a great sign for future trainability. Everyone who meets Camilla instantly falls in love with her, between her gentle, calm and sweet demeanor and those chocolate brown eyes, it’s hard not to. Camilla has waited long enough already, she’s ready for her forever home. Camilla would make an amazing family dog, and could do well in a multi-dog home. Understanding Camilla’s past, we believe she is cat-tolerant and capable of living with dog-savvy kitties. We are willing to test Camilla with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Hi! I’m Astraha, a 2-year-old Husky/Australian Shepherd mix, and I’m looking for a loving home where I can feel safe, loved, and get lots of playtime! I’ll admit, I’m a bit shy and scared here at the shelter, but once I’m in a familiar and safe environment, I show my true, sweet, and playful personality. I love to cuddle and be close to the people I trust. I’m also really affectionate and love playing with my favorite toys, especially balls, bones, and squeaky toys. They’re the best! I’m full of energy (I’m a young girl, after all!) and I’d love a big yard where I can burn off that energy. I’ve lived with small kids, including an infant and a toddler, and I’m really good with them. I might get a little excited, but I’m gentle and affectionate, and I know how to be careful around little ones. I’m treat motivated, which means I’m ready to learn new things, especially if there’s a yummy snack in it for me! I know "lay down" and "kennel," and I’m crate trained. I’m mostly housetrained too, but I still need a little help to get fully consistent. I could also use some work on my leash manners and learning other basic commands, but I’m a quick learner, so I’ll do great with some patience and training. I’m a little picky when it comes to dogs— I’m dog-specific, so I’d rather be the only dog in the home or be with a dog who understands me. I’m not a fan of cats or chickens (being part herding dog, I do love to chase small animals), so I need a home without them. Strangers make me nervous, and I tend to be cautious around new people, but I’m never aggressive. It just takes me some time to warm up. I’m not a fan of yelling or vacuums, so I’d appreciate a calm, peaceful home environment. If you have a large yard for me to run around in, love to cuddle, and can give me time to adjust to my new life, I’d be the happiest pup ever! I’m so ready to find my forever home where I can thrive and show you just how sweet and loyal I can be.

Story
Meet Loki! He is currently 10 weeks old, and we think he may be a Husky / Sheperd mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Loki's video here: * coming soon * Loki is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play and then take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat - such is puppy life! Loki is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/676b2bdc687580b31a0d6fc0 Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport.
