Story
I’m a 7-year-old Husky with a sweet & gentle soul. I’m the perfect mix of calm and cuddly – if you’re looking for a cozy couch buddy, I’m your girl! But don’t let my laid-back side fool you – I’m also playful & enjoy a little fun here & there. I’m a medium-energy gal who likes to stay active, but I’m just as happy lounging by your side. I’m a fan of bones & squeaky toys, & I know how to “sit” and “give paw,” though I can be a bit of a handful when it comes to digging and pulling on the leash – that’s just my inner sled dog coming out! I would love a family that can help me learn how to walk nicely on a leash and keep my digging in check. Being a Husky, I’ve got a bit of an adventurous streak, which means I’m an escape artist! I’d need a big yard with a tall fence to keep me safe and secure. My new family should be familiar with the breed & have the patience to help me learn how to stay put. I’m great with kids & would be happy in a family home, but I’m dog specific – I could get along with the right dog if we’re introduced properly. As for cats, I’m not sure, but I’d prefer to meet them to see how we feel about each other. If you’re looking for a sweet, calm, and affectionate companion who enjoys both playtime and couch time, I’d love to meet you!

Story
This dog was brought in as a stray. Because of that, we cannot guarantee how their personality will be in a home setting. Strays often come in without any history, and in this case, the dog was brought to us by Animal Control, so we don’t have access to a previous owner to provide details. We do perform basic temperament assessments while they’re in our care, but these are limited and cannot guarantee how the dog will behave around other pets, children, or when left alone in a home environment. Thank you for understanding and giving these animals the time and patience they deserve as they adjust. That being said, Alora was returned due to severe separation anxiety. She became extremely distressed in her kennel and nearly injured herself trying to escape. She will need an adopter who can be home with her more often and provide the time, structure, and reassurance she needs to feel safe and secure.

Available 02/21/2025 This is Mayhem..... don't be scared of his name. He's just a husky, need we say more? We think this guy is around 2-3 years old. He has a ton of energy so if someone was willing to work with him he would be an amazing dog. He loves people, he LOVES attention, and he likes exploring. He seems to do decent with the dogs here at the shelter. If you wanted to start your own sled team, you need not look any further. Come in and meet this crazy guy! Story
Available 03/06/2025 This is Kenai, we think he is some type of husky mix and around a year old. This sweet boy came into the shelter in a ROUGH condition. He was so incredibly skinny with a chain tied around his neck. We made sure he was safe, well fed, and knowing that even while he is here he is loved. He has gained a good amount of weight since he came in, but he is still a little skinny so he needs lots of nutritious meals. He seems to be a little scared of new people at first but he does warm up and he loves scratches. He is incredibly treat motivated. He doesn't seem to love other dogs, but with proper introduction he may warm up. He just needs someone to love him and take care of him. Inquires and adoptions are on a first come first serve basis. Story
Meet Mowgli! Mowgli is a sweet and gentle 7 year old pup who absolutely loves people, especially kids, and thrives on affection. His favorite activity is going for walks where he can sniff and explore to his hearts content. He gets along well with other dogs, but would do best in home without cats. Mowgli came to us quite overweight, but he is already embracing his new healthy diet and exercise plan. If you would like to meet Mowgli or any of our other adoptable dogs, please fill out an application below. https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PWTV/Dog
