Cassidy is a middle aged husky mix with low to medium energy. She is a sweet thing looking for a family to match her easy-going nature. She is not looking for a crazy-good time. If you can provide that for Cassidy, then FOCCAS would like to hear from you!FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Our lovely Nessie is an outgoing Beauty who loves everyone! She came to our Connecticut rescue recently after she was found as a stray in North Carolina. When her Owner did not claim her, Nessie made the trip North to start a new life. Nessie appears to be a stunning mix of Doberman and Husky, with black and white coloring, a fluffy plume tail and soulful brown eyes. She is a medium sized dog, at a healthy weight of 50 pounds. Her coat is short and smooth, and she is easy to groom. Nessie can be shy at first meeting, but warms quickly and becomes extremely affectionate. She relishes human touch, and willingly leans into her person for ear scratches. Nessie is not as frantically high energy as some Huskies that we have known, but as a one year old youngster, she does need a fair amount of exercise and mental stimulation. Nessie is a smart girl and has already passed many of the Canine Good Citizenship tests. She is a breeze to train, and loves the work, so motivated adopters could easily take her the rest of the way to CGC certification. Obedience work will go a long way to keep her challenged, calm and balanced. Nessie would thrive in an active adult household, or in a family with older kids keen to the needs of a rescue dog. Nessie would like to be in the forefront of the family, and invited to participate in family activities. She would be the ideal running or hiking companion. She is an excellent traveler and would love to join her folks on camping or road trips. She is not a dog to be relegated to the backyard, where boredom and frustration can set in, and create unpleasant consequences. Nessie could easily join a multi-dog home. She enjoys play and is pretty sociable. We have not tested her with cats. She has good house manners and is house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during her transition to a new home. She is in optimal health, and has been recently spayed, and has received routine vaccinations, deworming and health screenings. If you are interested in Nessie, please write to Denise at Angelsfrgod@aol.com or text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

Story
Seasoned Husky lovers will swoon over Zuko’s good looks. He is one of the most beautiful dogs we've had in some time. He has the full, thick and lush Husky double coat, and his coloring is black, white and gray. He has big blue eyes that seem to twinkle with impending impish mischief.  Zuko arrived at our Connecticut Rescue after he spent some time at the New York City Shelter. Animal Control Officers reported that Zuko had been confiscated when his owner was arrested. He was understandably upset when he entered the city shelter, and he was quickly earmarked for euthanasia.  Shelter contacts advocated tirelessly for Zuko, and as soon as he appeared on our radar, he was transferred to our Connecticut Rescue. Zuko has really come into his own here and has become one of our favorites.  Five years old, Zuko is formidable adult Siberian Husky, who has impressed everyone with his good looks and grand presence. We love our Northern Breeds, and Zuko is one of a kind Anyone interested in sharing their home with a Husky must bring their A game to the table. Zuko needs a savvy handler to maintain his equilibrium. Exercise and discipline, as well as ongoing obedience training should be part of his life, as well as lots of action and human contact. . He is a typical Husky, part jokester and part athlete. Zuko is not the kind of dog who will be happy relegated to the back yard. He loves attention and adventure. We would describe Zuko as having a bold temperament. He has a vibrant personality that would compliment the vibe of a calm, but assertive individual, who can take command of the leash and provide the leadership and focused obedience training that will give him purpose and pleasure in life. Zuko has adapted well to foster care and he would do well in the adult home of an experienced Northern Breed enthusiast, who has the time to make him a priority, and has the active lifestyle to keep him engaged.  Zuko has good house manners, and he is housetrained and crate trained, although adopters should expect some accidents as he transitions to a new life. He is in great health, and has been neutered, and fully treated for Heartworm. He has received routine vaccinations and health screenings, If you are interested in Zuko, please call/text Denise at 860-908-9738. Email: Angelsfrgod@aol.com.

Story
Zeke is a super sweet 9 month old, 55 lbs husky lab mix. Zeke is the sweetest, most playful boy. He loves every person he comes in contact with. He loves children and other dogs. Zeke's wish list includes a playful young dog pal who will run around the backyard with him and/or an active family. He loves to cuddle but he is not a couch potato and needs to be active and get exercised daily. He currently lives with 2 other dogs, 1 cat and 2 young children. Zeke loves long walks and a game of fetch in the backyard. As playful as he is, he's also the perfect snuggle buddy. He is house trained and walks well on a leash. Zeke truly is the perfect companion.  Zeke is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard - not electric or Fido fences as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing. The adoption fee is $500, which includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventatives at time of adoption.

Meet Teddy – A Once-in-a-Lifetime Dog Looking for His Person   Charlotte, NC | 6-Year-Old Orange Husky | &#226&#154&#150&#239&#184&#143 80 lbs of Loyalty & Love   Adopting Teddy isn’t just rescuing a dog—it’s gaining a one-of-a-kind best friend with a story, a soul, and so much love to give.   Teddy came from a tough past—rescued from a kill shelter, injured and neglected—but you’d never know it today. With medical care, a warm bed, and the love of his foster family, Teddy has blossomed into a strong, affectionate, and deeply loyal boy who’s ready to give his whole heart to the right person.   This stunning orange Husky is truly in his prime—healthy, happy, and thriving. He’s house trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and lives for long walks (5+ miles a day? No problem!). He’s also a total goofball during playtime and ends each day curled up like a perfect donut on his bed, peaceful and content.   But what really makes Teddy special isn’t just his beauty or brains—it’s his soulful connection to his people. He doesn’t just want to live in your home—he wants to live in your heart. He’s food motivated, smart (knows sit, shake, off, and load), and endlessly devoted to those he trusts.   Teddy’s Dream Home:   A human or family who understands loyalty goes both ways A secure, fenced yard (he’s got Husky hops!) ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 Active folks who love the outdoors and will give him the enrichment he thrives on A home without other pets—Teddy wants to be your one and only &#239&#184&#143 A patient heart, willing to let him warm up at his own pace   Teddy doesn’t 'talk' like some Huskies, but he speaks volumes with his body language and eyes. He’s gentle, protective, and loving—with a heart that’s ready to trust again.     The Opportunity of a Lifetime   Teddy has already proven how resilient and full of love he is. Now, he just needs someone to believe in him again. And in return? You get a loyal companion, an adventure buddy, a warm presence at your side—a dog who will change your life as much as you change his.   Reach out today to learn more or meet Teddy—he’s ready to find the home and heart he’s been waiting for.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 7, 2025, 4:19 pm
