Story
Meet Samson – A Stunning Husky in Need of a Hero ❄️🐺This is Samson, a 3-year-old full-blooded Husky with striking good looks, a heart full of loyalty, and the boundless energy you'd expect from his breed. Samson was surrendered by his previous owner—not because of anything he did, but simply because life changed. Now, he's sitting in a crowded shelter, and time is running out.Samson is the kind of dog that turns heads on walks—beautiful blue eyes, thick plush coat, and that classic Husky charm. But he’s not just a pretty face—he’s smart, alert, and ready for adventure! Like any true Husky, Samson needs daily exercise, space to roam, and someone who understands his active spirit. He'd thrive in a home with a fenced yard, an active owner, or even as a hiking buddy. He’s good-natured, affectionate, and ready to bond deeply with his forever person.⚠️ Samson is at risk in the shelter, but a rescue is ready to step in and cover his neuter and transport—if we can find an approved adopter or foster. Please don’t let this incredible boy fade away in a kennel. Give Samson the second chance he deserves. He’ll give you a lifetime of loyalty in return.📍Available for adoption across state lines—let’s get him to safety! Online application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41Disclaimer: I am located in Texas. I can be transported once adopted. Transport fee is $230.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Sweet Rita is a little shy at first, but warms up quick. She loves to snuggle & she's patient and good with kids. Rita loves hikes and walks and she's both potty trained and crate trained. She is very athletic and good with dogs. She also knows the commands: Sit, paw, and lay down and she's even good in the car. If she sounds like a good fit for your home, we'd love to hear from you. Rita is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Baylen is a feisty and gorgeous 3-month-old Husky mix puppy with stunning blue eyes and a heart full of spunk. Weighing in at 17 pounds, she’s the perfect mix of playful energy and sweet puppy charm. This little lady loves to run and play and is doing great with potty training in her foster home. She would thrive in a home with another playful pup who can keep her company, show her the ropes, and help channel her enthusiasm in the right direction. She’s doing well with the cat in her foster home, too.Baylen was heartbreakingly dumped in someone’s yard, but she’s ready to leave that part of her story behind and find a forever family to love and cherish her. If you’re looking for a loyal, lively, and loving companion, Baylen just might be your girl!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.April 16, 2025, 5:53 am
