Regal, stunning and mature, Bowie is one of those old soul dogs whose gaze reaches right into your soul and fills it with warmth. You’ll know exactly what I mean once you meet him. He is absolutely dreamy inside and out.  Bowie is around 8 years old and 65 pounds. He’s a sturdy dog with active mind and body. Most of the time Bowie is happy to snooze the day away on the couch or lay at your feet while you work in the office. Occasionally coming over to bump your hand in an effort to ask for pets! When you’re ready to go for a walk, he’ll happily join you and show his enthusiasm with his humble little  leaps and huge smile in his face. Bowie is an excellent leash walker and knows basic commands like sit, paw and down. He also knows how to wait at door ways and comes asked! He walks with confidence and charm. Bowie doesn’t love sharing his space and valuables with other dogs so he would do best in a home where he can claim his items all to himself! Bowie enjoys meeting new people and is incredibly friendly! His friendly, easygoing nature shines through, even when other dogs bark or snap at him. He’s never aggressive and takes everything in stride.  Goofball EnergyZeke’s silly side will keep you laughing. He’s a bit uncoordinated when it comes to catching a ball—it bonks him on the nose every time—but his enthusiasm and goofy charm are irresistible.  Great Progress in TrainingZeke is doing wonderfully with housebreaking, asking to go outside and only having the occasional excitement-related accident. He sleeps through the night in his crate like a champ, although he’d much prefer to be out and about with his people during the day.Could Zeke be the missing piece to your family? Don’t wait! Story
Goldie is the most loyal and loving dog you will ever meet! At one year, this 50-pound Husky mix absolutely loves life and is happy to accompany her people wherever they go, especially if the outing involves sticking her head out the car window. Goldie is very social and so happy making new friends; she adores being with her people and other dogs too. Her favorite activities are running, hiking, and snuggling! Oh, and she LOVES to swim too. She has the biggest heart and will never fail to let you know how much she appreciates you. Goldie is looking for the perfect family to take her on adventures and give her all the love she deserves! If you are looking for a best friend who will bring a lot of fun and adventure to your life, please fill out an application for Goldie today! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
When Nova came to us, she had some medical issues that needed to be addressed. We did that! Now they're all in the past and she's ready to find her very own forever home. If you live in CT and would like to adopt this beautiful girl, please complete an online application: https://www.allaboutthedogsrescue.org/get-involved Nova is a husky mix, about 4 years old. She was saved from euthanasia by an independent rescuer. It turned out she was pregnant (which no one knew) and she had her puppies, who were all placed. Nova developed vaginal hyperplasia following their birth, and our rescue agreed to take her. She was treated for that and has been spayed, and she's now completely recovered! She will probably do best as an only pet. She has had her differences with other dogs in the past, especially when she was a new mom. She absolutely loves all people, and is happy to live with children. Nova is house trained, crate trained, and knows all of her basics. She's a totally awesome dog who will make a terrific family member!
