Story
Meet Milo! This handsome fella came to us at no fault of his own and he`s looking for his forever home. We think he would do well in almost any kind of home. We have been told (and noticed) that he can be a little wary of unfamiliar people but he usually calms down in a matter of minutes. Once he gets over his initial shyness he is full of energy and the desire to cuddle. If you have any questions about this handsome guy please ask a kennel technician!

Story
ZAZU - 4 years old, 60 pounds, kid and dog social, can be nervous when meeting new people. Surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him, Zazu sits in the back of his kennel, almost pitiful looking with his red allergy marked fur and very thin body. He's quiet, calm. I opened the kennel door and unexpectedly he got up, approached me, and sniffed the treat, didn't take it but sniffed it. Outside he trotted along, all the while with a downtrodden expression. LOL I couldn't get him to smile for any photo. In the yard he stayed at my side the majority of the time, sometimes roaming out to sniff. Treats I plopped on the table next to me were quickly eaten. Zazu remained quiet and inquisitive about the yard and all he was taking in. He was very sweet and although not playful or energetic in the yard, we are told he is playful and enjoys playing with plush toys. He is crate trained and can be trusted roaming free when left alone. He usually hangs out in his crate with the door open. Zazu enjoys going for walks but he doesn't care too much for just hanging outside. Zazu is good with other dogs and is also good with children.  This being said, we always encourage supervision. FUN FACTS! Zazu is scared of loud sounds and the rain.  He's not a fan of baths.  He enjoys car rides.   *Zazu has skin issues and this will be important for potential adopters to consider. He is currently in a back kennel so if you come in to meet him and don't see him, please just ask!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 23, 2025, 3:18 pm

Story
Our family adopted Luna as a puppy from a DMV area rescue. Her mother was rescued and had the puppies in foster. We took her home at about 2 months old. She is 18 months old as of March 2025. She is crate trained and house trained. She is very sweet and loves to snuggle up with her family. She can be sassy and talk back with her husky voice when she feels like it. She has a TON of energy and loves going on walks, runs, hikes, pretty much any outdoor activity. She LOVES to pull if she's strapped into a harness. She walks well on a slip lead or prong collar. She doesn't know her own strength, which is why she should go to a family without young children as she can play rough. She gets along with some dogs and doesn't with others. She is spayed as well as up to date with all shots.
