Story
Age: 3 years Weight: 40 lbs Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Good with kids: Unknown Activity level: High Shedding Level: High Training: Basic, Leash Skylar is a gorgeous husky/shepherd mix with striking blue eyes. He is about 3 years old. Skylar had been injured during his time on the streets and had TPLO surgery on his leg last year. He has since recovered nicely. He absolutely loves to run and play! He likes to try to be in charge, but takes correction well. He loves to play with other dogs and get out his energy. He gets nervous with quick movements and takes a minute to adjust to new people and situations. With a little patience and plenty of treats he will warm right up and ask for pets. Once he is comfortable, he loves pets, giving kisses, and cuddling! He will even gently reach over and pull your hand back with his paw if you stop petting him before he is ready.  Skylar finished his training on basic obedience commands and socialization and is ready for a foster or forever home! Does Skylar sound like your kind of guy? Email placement@duckteam6.org or visit our website to fill out an application.March 21, 2025, 2:04 pm

Story
Meet the Lovable Yael (We say HIGH-EL). She is a mature husky mix, with a calm and gentle demeanor. Named after the biblical heroine Yael, who bravely defeated Sisera. We adopted Yael from a local shelter, where she was waiting for a forever home to shower her with love and attention. Yael is a laid-back pup who loves to lounge around the house, but she's also happy to go on a 3-mile jog (when the weather is below 90) with her favorite humans. She's a total cuddlebug and can't get enough belly scratches - she'll even grab your hand to keep the scratches coming! Yael is very quiet and doesn't bark much, making her a great companion for apartment living or homes with noise restrictions. When she's not snuggling on the couch, Yael loves to play with her squeaky balls. She'll nudge them around, throw them in the air, and chase after them for an hour or two. She's a smart pup who performs lots of tricks, including sit, lay down, roll over, and shake. Yael gets along great with other large dogs and is crate trained, but she definitely prefers the comfort of her humans' company and thrives as the center of attention, making her best suited for a household with no small children and ideally, a remote worker with an active lifestyle who can shower her with love and attention. An ideal home for Yael would be one with a comfy couch, plenty of squeaky toys, and humans who can give her all the belly scratches she deserves. This lovable pup is deserving of a forever home where she can be the star! Could it be with you? Story
Biscuit is a loveable, energetic, cuddly one-year old husky/shepherd mix. He is one year old and 65 pounds. He is white with a large black stripe down his back, with one blue eye and one blue/brown eye. He has been in our home from 10 weeks old and has enjoyed a life of plentiful belly rubs, ear scratches, treats, and family love. He enjoys laying next to his master, laying outside in the shade, and endless wrestling with his littermate, Gravy. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Biscuit is crate and house trained. Biscuit is smart and very food-motivated, so treats are helpful but watch out for food on the counters. He is protective of his family and has a bit of anxiety when meeting new people and has had very little interaction with other dogs or children. He has been in a home with two small (under 7 years) children. Rehoming is due to not fault at all to this beautiful boy, we are just no longer able to keep up with his general needs. We love Biscuit with all of our hearts, but feel that he will do best in a home where he can get more attention, training, and freedom to run. Biscuit will come with his crate, accessories, and toys. Would love to keep Biscuit and Gravy together if you have room for two, as they are a bonded pair, however we understand this may not be possible. We hope to pair Biscuit with a loving, energetic family with a large yard. High (5â&#194&#128&#194&#153+) fences recommended. You will love Biscuit, everyone does. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s smart, fun, cuddly, and sweet.
