Story
Huxley is a beautiful silver and white, 1 year old neutered male husky and weighs around 43 lbs. He has been with his foster mom and 3 dog siblings for a few months and is a fantastic boy! •Gets along with all dogs of all sizes (never been around cats) •Does awesome with kids •Would love a family with at least one brother or sister dog with equal energy •Enjoys going for walks, out and about for errands, and sniff adventures •Adores outdoor chilling, watching the world go by •Prefers a human bed or comfy dog bed •Food motivated •Loves his bone, toys, and belly rubs •Enjoys lick mats and mental stimulation games •Fully potty trained •Very playful with other dogs and has learned to pick up on cues if not reciprocated •Eats meals in his kennel or with his siblings (he likes to check out their bowls too, so foster mom is working on keeping him from doing this) •Doing fantastic 2 months post FHO surgery and gets around/walks/runs wonderfully. Just needs to continue his daily walks! Huxley is an amazing boy and looking for a husky experienced family (or someone who understands his breed) who has the time to provide for his needs! In his perfect dream life, he would get daily walks and a backyard to play in. He is a very happy dog who is more than willing to flip over for a belly rub or come sit by you for pets. He also loves his naps. He has integrated wonderfully into his foster siblings routine and will pick up structure quickly. Every person and dog he has met he’s been fantastic with, even kids as young as 4.

Story
Meet Our Sweet Lake Texoma Treasure, Chester, or as we like to call him, Cheddar because we won his heart with cheese. This adorable 23-lb corgi mix may have tiny legs, but he has a giant heart. He’s ready to start a new chapter filled with safety, snacks, and soft couches.
Once he feels safe, he is incredibly sweet and snuggly. His absolute favorite thing in the world is head scratches, he even closes his eyes and starts snoring! He’s a homebody at heart and happiest when he’s with his people. He loves following you around the house and will greet you with an excited little tap-dance whenever you return.
Low to medium energy, this guy enjoys his once-a-day zoomie session in the backyard. Being food motivated, he enjoys simple puzzle toys and has a secret goofy side: he’ll roll onto his back and hold a toy in the air like a baby with a rattle…but only if he thinks you’re not watching. Training:
Because of his past trauma, car rides make him nervous, but with enough pup cups and patience, he’ll learn that adventures can be fun. He resource guards his food, so separate feeding is recommended in multi-dog homes. He’s young and still learning boundaries, so crating when left alone is best. The good news? He settles wonderfully in his crate and sleeps through the night. He likes to mark — something his foster family is continuing to work on. But he hasn’t had an accident since getting neutered.
He needs a calm home with patient people who understand nervous pups. He hasn’t been tested with children, but dog-savvy older kids who can give him space would be ideal. He doesn’t like being alone and would love a family who enjoys being home and having a loyal shadow.
A quiet place to land. A soft couch to snooze on. A garden to explore. A human (or two) who will love him gently and let him blossom at his own pace. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a tender heart, a fluffy coat, and the cutest zoomies you’ve ever seen — this little Texoma treasure might just be your perfect match.
