Story
Well hello there, Farley! Farley is a Corgi/Australian Cattle Dog mix, born approximately 1/6/2021. Farley is housebroken and professionally trained knowing several commands; sit, stay, down, drop, and place. He loves to play fetch with a tennis ball, and hang out with his people in the backyard. A perfect home for Farley would be in a slower traffic-type of neighborhood, or on an acreage where his protective instincts can be rewarded. He needs a fenced in yard to safely explore his surroundings! Keep an eye on the front door when open or he might decide to explore the neighborhood on his own! If Farley sounds like a great pup for you, fill out an application for him today! The suggested adoption donation for Farley is $350, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases)  during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc. ##2046811##

Story
Meet Esteban! Esteban is a charming Husky puppy (b. 9/1/23) who is looking for a loving forever home with a family that can appreciate his strengths and help him work on a few areas where he could use some guidance. He's crate-trained and gets along well with other dogs, although he's a bit cautious around smaller ones. Cats are also a mystery to him at this point. This active boy loves children aged 6+ and is a total kisser once he feels comfortable! While he's a bit shy at first with new people and high-energy kiddos, patience and a gradual introduction will help him feel at ease. Esteban is a bundle of energy and enjoys running around in a fenced yard, so an active household that can keep up with his Husky spirit would be ideal. One thing he is still working on is his enthusiasm for exploration of the outdoors as he is known to bolt out the door if given the opportunity. However, he is making significant progress with potty training and learning not to jump up when excited. Esteban is vocal about his needs, especially when he needs to go outside. If you're an experienced Husky owner or someone willing to commit to an active lifestyle with plenty of love and patience, Esteban could be the perfect addition to your family. Come meet him and see if you're the family he's been waiting for. Adopting Esteban means embracing all the joy and adventure that comes with having a Husky companion! The suggested adoption donation for Esteban is $415, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Alter Agreement: If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital or Omaha Animal Medical Group in Omaha, at no cost to you. Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost. If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, the adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice. If proof of alter if received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses. All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age. All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized. Story
Meet Rusty, a 7-year-old Husky (b.2017) with a heart of gold and a spirit as vibrant as his striking coat! Rusty is looking for a new place to call home. He's already mastered the art of being housebroken, crate trained, and he even walks like a gentleman on a leash. Plus, his friendly nature extends to everyone he meets, whether they're furry friends, little kids or older children. Keep an eye on your front door when letting visitors in, Rusty has been known to dash out so he can explore the neighborhood on his own! With his active lifestyle, Rusty would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and explore to his heart's content.  Although Rusty loves the hustle and bustle of family life, he also appreciates quiet moments and cuddles. He knows some commands and would love to learn new tricks.  Rusty is the ideal companion for any with love and patience to share.  Are you ready to welcome Rusty into your life?   The suggested adoption donation for Rusty is $350.
