I'm a unique and independent husky girl who marches to the beat of my own drum. At around 35 pounds, I'm smaller than your typical husky, but I'm full of love and personality! Here's a little bit about me: Social Butterfly: I adore other dogs and get along with all types of personalities and be in a home with another dog, as I love to play.. I'm a natural peacemaker and love to help my furry friends feel comfortable. Quiet Companion: You won't hear much from me! I'm the quietest husky you'll ever meet. Gentle with Cats: I'm respectful around cats and even their litter boxes. But don't let that fool you, I love chasing squirrels and bunnies in the yard! Affectionate and Loving: I crave belly rubs, ear scratches, and all the attention you can give me. I also enjoy being brushed, but will politely let you know when I've had enough. Adventurous Spirit: I love to explore and go on walks. I'm still figuring out my favorite toys, but I enjoy squeaky ones and playing tug-of-war with my friends. Quick Learner: I'm eager to please and learn new things, especially when it involves playtime or outdoor adventures. What I Need in a Home: Daily brushing: To keep my beautiful coat healthy and shiny. Plenty of engagement: I love to play, walk, and spend time outside. Keep me entertained, and I'll be your happy-go-lucky companion. Positive reinforcement: I respond best to gentle guidance and praise. I'm quick to learn new things! A securely fenced yard: To keep me safe while I chase those squirrels. Lots of love: Because I'm a total cuddle bug! If you're looking for a loving, gentle, and unique husky girl, I might be the perfect match for you! Adopters should have the following: Single family home with fenced yard and preferably another pup to play and socialize with. Please, no long hours left alone and not crated for more than 4 hours.‍ ** All canine pets in home should be altered, current on all required vaccinations, including rabies and on monthly flea, tick and heartworm prevention. ** PawLife Rescue Group reserves the right to approve or deny any application for any reason. Some extremely unkind teenagers were going to try to hang him!! People were trying to run him over with shopping carts as he was trying to rest. This poor boy has had a rough start to his life! Hector is good with other dogs and children. Cats unknown.  He is housetrained and crate trained but hates being in a crate.  Hector rides well in a car. Hector is learning what it’s like to be in a home environment and is adjusting slowly.   From his temporary foster: Hector is now thriving with love and joy and now knows he is safe.  He is truly so gentle and kind. We had a great first day with Hector in our home. He enjoys his toys, loves inside/outside life, house trained, and listens very well. We are a temporary foster and only available for a week. His stunning absolutely beautiful eyes match his calm and gentle demeanor. Adopters should have the following: Single family home with fenced yard and preferably another pup to play and socialize with. While she possesses a playful nature, she generally maintains a calm demeanor. She enjoys walks and car rides, exhibits excellent leash manners, and travels well in a vehicle. She is affectionate, preferring to stretch out while sleeping, and enjoys chewing on bones and treats, although she can be selective about her food. As a husky, she vocalizes, but her vocalizations are not excessive. She is reliably house-trained and prefers unsupervised time, though she does exhibit some anxiety during thunderstorms, seeking proximity and comfort. It is important to note that she is sensitive about having her rear end and paws handled, though she expresses this discomfort without aggression. Karla embodies the appealing qualities often associated with huskies, making her an exceptional canine companion. She is well-trained, responding to commands such as sit, down, stay, and shake. However, it is important to acknowledge that she sheds extensively. She will be in our care late January 2025. Located in Pinellas County, Florida.
