We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Duke Age: 8 months Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Male Weight: 40 libs lbs Location: Ottawa, ON area Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Yes Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes, dogs, cats, children 8+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. (Brother of our sweet pup Drupi!) Duke may start off a little nervous when meeting new people, but give him a moment to feel safe and you’ll discover the sweetest, smartest boy. Once he trusts you, he lights up and loves to show off the tricks he’s been working on — he’s already mastered sit, lay down, and shake paw! Duke LOVES learning and picks up new things quickly once he’s comfortable. Loud noises and busy environments can spook him, but with gentle guidance and calm reassurance, he’s improving every day. The more he explores, the more confidence he builds! Patience and love is a must for this boy. Duke’s on the low end of high energy — he celebrates every success with joy, but once he’s had the right amount of exercise and brain games, he can happily chill out and relax. A family who would take him soon adventures and have plenty of time for walks would be ideal for this good boy. Duke’s ideal home would be one with a fenced in yard where he could run and play. No condos or Apartments for him. He is great with dogs but we believe children 8+ would be best as his sweet but nervous puppy energy needs gentle handling. Duke is fully house and crate trained and he does need to be crated when left alone — he’s a little mischievous if given free roam, but he’s perfectly content in his crate. He is a good traveller once he gets into the car and settles. Duke is sensitive, smart, and full of love — he just needs the right family to help him continue growing into the confident, amazing dog he’s meant to be. If you feel you would be the right fit forDuke, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

After being abandoned by her family and facing challenges no dog should ever experience, she has held onto her gentle spirit and trusting nature. Today, she is in perfect health and ready for her forever home. Lexy is kind, affectionate, and eager to love her people with her whole heart. She’s also a great traveler and would happily go anywhere and everywhere with her person. She does well with other dogs but must go to a no-cat home. Lexy would thrive with an adopter who can give her the perfect balance of exercise, playtime, adventures, and cuddles — all the things she’s been waiting so patiently for. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who has fought hard for her second chance at happiness, Lexy is your girl.
