Story
File #23-044 Current Foster Location: North Augusta, ON *Please note that we do not typically adopt outside of a 2 hour radius from the foster dogs current location* Please note that Luna is medicated for her anxiety, and this will need to continue after adoption. Hi! My name is Luna, affectionately known by those around me as Looney Tunes. I am 3 parts quiet graceful lady 1 part Tasmanian devil. Im told having me around is like having a gentle deer in the house, but when I am really excited I will jump and spin around and with those greyhound genes I sure love to run (and I am fast!). I am told I am very beautiful and lots of people will love me, but I do have some specific needs that will need to be met in my forever home. I have some abandonment trauma and some resulting anxiety with that, especially when it comes to being alone. I have been working really hard with my foster mama and have made excellent progress on my home alone training, but in a new setting with new people I will need you to be patient with me and help me get comfortable with that in your (our!) home. I am on medication for my anxiety- it helps keep my brain at a calm enough level that I can learn that I am okay when I have to deal with things that make me nervous. I love to play and run around with other dogs outside, but I am a little more particular inside. I like my space! I will play, on my terms. To be honest though, I would much rather play with you. I am told that I am a people dog. If I have the choice between playing with you or playing with another dog, I will choose you. I would rather play tug and chase with you, even fetch! That said, I do love to run around outside with my foster brother or with the other dogs at daycare when I get to go there. I love daycare! Inside though, I am a couch potato 90% of the day. I need to get a lot of sleep to run as fast as I do! I like a calm atmosphere, and another dog trying to get in my space gets in the way of my zen. I can live with another dog, but be prepared for my grouchy husky complaints if they bother me. I like older and calmer dogs best. More than anything though, I just want to spend time with you. Im a great cuddler. I am an excellent car companion and will happily travel everywhere with you if you will take me. I would love to have a backyard to run around and get my crazies out so I can be a perfect lady for you indoors. I have quite the goofy side and I have been known to sing my husky song, mostly when my brother is being annoying, but most of the time Im a pretty chill gal and Im hoping for a home that is chill like me. Dont get me wrong though, I am down for all the adventures. Even if I am a bit unsure I am always excited to do things with my people. I am very well trained and I am very, very smart. I just want to love you and make you happy. If you want to love me forever please just promise to keep up with all the hard work the rescue has put into me. I am such a good girl. Perfect, Im told, when you look past the anxiety. I just need the perfect family to help me thrive for the rest of forever. PLEASE READ NERENA’s BIO IN DETAIL TO ENSURE THAT SHE WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE BEORE APPLYING. PEASE NOTE: SHE IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE BRAMPTON, ON AREA We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Nerena Age: 6+ Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Female Weight: 40 lbs Location: Brampton, ON Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Yes Kids/Cats/Dogs: No dogs, dog savvy cats, children 8+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) Nerena is a beautiful girl that is looking for a home of her very own. She is a chill dog who loves to snuggle with her foster mama while watching TV or reading. She loves to be with her person and will follow him/her everywhere. Nerena is fully house trained, does not like the crate but can be free in the home since she is not destructive at all. Watch your counters because she is a great little surfer and loves her food (Mac and cheese is her fave). She definitely needs leash work as she can become wary of dogs and people that approach her. This is a girl that requires patience, love and training. Her ideal home is one with a secure fenced in yard with plenty of room to chill and a place where she can bask in the sun. She is best as an only dog as she can be grumpy when other dogs approach her, She is fine with dog savvy cats as she tends to leave them alone. A mature couple would be ideal adopters as a quiet, loving home would be her dream, a place where she could get all the attention with no other dog to take that from her. She can be vocal so apartments or condos are not for her. She is gentle and sweet and deserves a home of her home where she can get all the love and understanding she requires. If you feel you would be the right fit for Nerena, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

PLEASE READ BONNIE’S BIO IN DETAIL TO ENSURE THAT HE WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE BEORE APPLYING. PEASE NOTE: SHEE IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE OTTAWA, ON AREA We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Bonnie Age: 2 years old Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Female Weight: 35 lbs Location: Ottawa, ON Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Yes Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes - dogs, cats unknown, children 15+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: NONE Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) Bonnie has had a difficult life, she was left, abandoned, tied to a pole by her owner, pregnant and alone in Mexico. Bonnie was terrified and wouldn’t let anyone near her but a kind neighbour detached her chain and let her go, however Bonnie kept coming back to the same place, waiting for her owner The rest of the neighbourhood were annoyed by her and began throwing stones at her and beating her. Our sister rescue SOS el Arca had a difficult time catching her but they did and she had 9 puppies, all of whom are now adopted. Bonnie is a very sweet and beautiful dog who loves to cuddle and who has so much love to give. Once she warms up, she is yours forever. She is a shy little girl who will need time to decompress but with time, patience and love Bonnie will be your cherished companion. Bonnie requires a calm environment with someone who has experience with shy dogs and one who will have the patience to go slow with her. A home with a fenced in yard for security is important. Another dog in the home is important for her since it gives her some security and confidence. Teenage children only for Bonnie since small children can make her nervous, since she does have some prey drive no cats for her. She loves being outside and running around with her fur siblings, a boy and a girl and she lives romping in the snow. She is always ready for a walk and to go and explore the hood. Although she is cautious and shy of new people we believe, since she is food driven, treats will help her in this matter. If you feel you would be the right fit for Bonnie, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. Story
Meet Rindle the sweet but shy brindle boy. Rindle is a 4 year old greyhound mix. He weighs approximately 80lbs and is in good health. Rindle is housebroken and has very good house manners. He knows all his commands and walks well on a leash. Rindle is a true greyhound where he likes to spend his day on the couch or doing zoomies in the yard. Rindle loves his walks and gets super excited while getting ready but immediately settles down when we get outside. He loves his foster family and his foster fur brother but he needs time to warm up to new people and dogs. Rindle does have the greyhound prey instinct and is always on backyard bunny patrol. Due to the prey instinct cats and small dogs are not a good fit and he is not used to small children so it is recommended a family with older children or young adults. Rindle is looking for a family who will be super patient and let him open up to them and accept them into his pack. He is protective of his foster family but has learned to socialize with other people at daycare. Rindle has been so fun to train and is so smart and ready to learn more. If you live in Canada within 3 hours of Toronto and would like to meet Randal and learn more about him and our foster to adopt program, please email our rescue at c4ptoronto@gmail.com.
