Gravy was found on 11/21/24 at River Drive in Creswell. He is not neutered. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time.The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information!Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. I`m about 4 months old and currently weigh 33 lbs! I will be a big fluffy gal when I`m fully grown. I am a young puppy and I still have a lot to learn! I need a family that has time to train me and interact with me. My new family should be prepared to take me to puppy training classes to help me master the basics. It is important for me to continue socializing so I grow up to love children, adults and other animals.Greenhill is committed to my continued growth and success, which is pretty cool! Grits and determination!! That is the saying, right? To get anywhere you must have grits and determination?? Grits are good for you, ask any Southern mama :) You guessed it, my name is Grits and I have a LOT of determination! I came from the pound with HORRIFIC injuries related to a multiple dog attack :( And boy I was in pain and had horrible infections and was so so skinny and just sad... But the rescue peeps fixed me up! It took several weeks of LOVE, good nutrition, wound care and "heart repair" to return my zest for life and to see the glimmer of hope in my eyes... Now I am all fixed up, healthy and happy and READY for you!! Don't ever let me be out on the streets again, fighting off other dogs to live. Give me your COUCH, an air conditioner and lots of love and treats and I will be yours FUREVER!!! And speaking of fur, well, you know I am a Great Pyrenees and we SHED great amounts, so you must love me more than my hair!!! Snow is a pretty typical name for a white dog.... but for me it is like a sweet cool breeze! Because I HAVE a NAME and LOVE to go with it!! You see, I was living in a home that didn't want me up until I arrived at the rescue several weeks ago. So, I didn't get a nice name, or a bed or love and hardly any food :( I am still shy at first but my life has changed so so much that I can't help but love everyone now :) I especially love other dogs and would be best in a home with another loving, confident dog.
