Suki is a very energetic and loving dog. She is 2 years old and is 65lbs, she is a pure bred but is quite small for the breed she is. She loves to run around and gets the zoomies quite frequently. She is a sweetheart and loves everyone, sometimes it’ll take her a moment to warm up to other animals but is still very friendly. She loves to cuddle and sleep. She does well left alone for a couple of hours,but if left longer she will tend to chew on the walls. I hate to rehome her as I’ve had her since she was a puppy, but with relocating to a new job and place I won’t her the time to care for her. She is a very good dog and behaves well and I just want to find someone that can give her the quality time and care she deserves.

This cutie is Alfie. He is currently 16 pounds, 4 months old, and we think they may be a Great Pyrenees mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his life as well as the life of another in its place. Alfie is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! Alfie is still young so they will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. If you are looking for a pup with a great personality, an interactive playfulness, who is smart and also super cute, I’ve got one for you! Her name is Doris Day! I met her at the same time as her litter mates and something about her just stood out! She is confident, engages quickly and easily with people, and is quick to give you her full attention in the name of a treat or a play session. See her in action then come back to read more about her- With a treat offered she will go right into focused-mode with an automatic sit and her full attention on you. That quality typically translates into a dog who trains with ease. Doris loves toys and when offered one will do a happy bounce as soon as she has it in her mouth. But don’t worry, she didn’t mind sharing with the other dogs or handing it over when asked. This girl is going to be on the larger size once full grown, currently believed to be in the 6-8 month range, she weighs 38 lbs and stands on long legs. Her parents are suspected to be a great pyrenees and a shepherd but in rescue we can never guarantee these details. She is fluffy and ready for a life of love! When she was introduced to other dogs she showed her puppy nature, meeting dogs with a lot of enthusiasm- she was ready to play! Once the yard had a variety of dogs introduced she quickly found a favorite in a similar sized dog about her age who was just as playful. Doris would naturally love a playmate, one who was slightly older who could “teach’ her the ropes would be great but given her confidence and smarts, she is perfectly suited for only-dog life as well. Patsy is her name, a brown-eyed girl who has a gentle nature and is ready for a dream family of her very own. If you are seeking a calm, easy-going girl, who couldn’t even comprehend the idea of chaos…look no further. Patsy’s entire being exudes gentle and calm, slow and steady. Carrying a big loving heart and all the traits of an adoring, loyal, family dog, Patsy is ready to come home! One of my favorite things about Patsy is how peaceful her presence is, quiet company that feels familiar thanks to the ease. Her demeanor and look lead us to believe she is a Great Pyrenees/shepherd mix, approximately 6-8 months old and she currently weighs 46 lbs. Breed and age are details we cannot offer 100% certainty on given the nature of Patsy being a rescue but she isn’t quiet done growing so Patsy is likely going to be a large dog once fully mature. Patsy comes across as shy at first, but you quickly realize she is just incredibly calm and peaceful. As we introduced her to new dogs, she did begin to engage more but even her “playful” side was reflective of a dog who enjoys the company of other dogs but isn’t going to lead the game of chase or even care about “winning.” She is better suited for the tag-along gang, so if you have a dog that would like some calm companionship or likes to take the lead, Patsy is up for the role! She is at ease and makes connections with other dogs without being pushy. In addition to being dog friendly, Patsy was an angel with our resident house cat, she was respectfully avoidant, which we like to see when deciding if a dog is cat tolerant. She did not try to chase nor did she become fixated on the cat. We would say she is cat-tolerant and with slow introductions and observation, Patsy could be a perfect feline-friend! You can see more in this video, including her being introduced to the cat. Given her size and nature, we would love to see Patsy in a home where she has space to explore and play. That does not have to be a yard, if you have an active enough lifestyle that she can get her sniffs and steps in, she will be perfectly happy! Although we didn’t get to see her really run, once she is settled in a home and knows she is safe, I have no doubt she will show you what those long legs can do. A home, a loving family, a canine-companion or maybe even a feline friend. I can’t imagine many homes Patsy wouldn’t be well suited for. If you can guard her loving heart, she promises to help calm you from whatever the day can throw at you, fill you up with love, sweetness and loyalty in return. These incredible pups were found running along a very busy highway in a huge storm on Monday, January 8, 2024. They were thin, soaking wet and starving. They were terrified of people and acted like they had been cared for with a very heavy hand. They are bonded and love to sleep together. They also enjoy their time apart. They like walking between your legs and getting their ears scratched. They like being outside and spending time with the family. They like baby talk. They love giving kisses now and have an easy temperament. They are non-reactive to other dogs, even when other dogs are barking around them. They will lay around in the kitchen while you are cooking. An ideal home is one where they are together. They can be in a multi pet home and enjoy kids of all ages. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation.
