Hello there, I`m Sandy, a female Great Pyrenees mix around 8-10 years old. I`ve lived a few years and learned a lot. I`m smart, you see. I`ve mastered the art of house training and I`m quite the expert at leash walks. I`m also sweet, so sweet you`d think I was a sugar cookie. I love to be hugged, head rubs and sleeping, to name a few of my favorite pastimes. My years have taught me patience and kindness, so I promise to be the gentlest companion. Meet Travis, a big and brave man! Travis is a Great Pyrenees roughly 4 years old and about 90 lbs. Travis would thrive in a home that is experienced with large working breeds. Travis LOVES people and is so sweet, loves to be brushed and affectionate with his human friends. He is one loyal dog and loves a job to do, he much prefers clocking in than playing fetch! He spends most his time outdoors, although inside is always available to him, he much prefers outdoors where he can roam, sunbathe and protect his property! We do believe in the right home he can transition into an indoor dog with LOTS of exercise, walks and a yard to still get his outside needs that are important to him. Travis has had a lot of interactions on the farm with many different animals like dogs and farm animals. He does show protective behavior, which is not uncommon for his breed so again, an experienced owner with large working dog breeds is preferred to make sure a smooth transition into a new home potentially with other animals goes as best as possible! A lot of rescued animals require patience and care when transitioning to a new home. If you have any specific needs or questions don't hesitate to reach out and we are glad to help you make your decision on adoption. Grits and determination!! That is the saying, right? To get anywhere you must have grits and determination?? Grits are good for you, ask any Southern mama :) You guessed it, my name is Grits and I have a LOT of determination! I came from the pound with HORRIFIC injuries related to a multiple dog attack :( And boy I was in pain and had horrible infections and was so so skinny and just sad... But the rescue peeps fixed me up! It took several weeks of LOVE, good nutrition, wound care and "heart repair" to return my zest for life and to see the glimmer of hope in my eyes... Now I am all fixed up, healthy and happy and READY for you!! Don't ever let me be out on the streets again, fighting off other dogs to live. Give me your COUCH, an air conditioner and lots of love and treats and I will be yours FUREVER!!! And speaking of fur, well, you know I am a Great Pyrenees and we SHED great amounts, so you must love me more than my hair!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Winter is my FAVORITE season :) Isn't it yours?? I LOOK like Winter, don't I?? The clean snow look is what I am going for :) I am a swweeettt girl, saved from the pound after I was adopted AND returned within a month.... no one really knows why I was returned cause all the people in the rescue are absolutely enamored with me. Snow is a pretty typical name for a white dog.... but for me it is like a sweet cool breeze! Because I HAVE a NAME and LOVE to go with it!! You see, I was living in a home that didn't want me up until I arrived at the rescue several weeks ago. So, I didn't get a nice name, or a bed or love and hardly any food :( I am still shy at first but my life has changed so so much that I can't help but love everyone now :) I especially love other dogs and would be best in a home with another loving, confident dog. I will just need the love I have been craving, so if I look like your next family member then you better fill out the adoption application soon!!
