Story
Breezy is a 4yo pure bred Akbash. She spent the first 4 years of her life on a sheep farm living outside. She is now in the process of learning how to become an inside dog and a pet. She is quiet, sweet, calm and does enjoy being outside however she has learned to enjoy the comforts of sleeping on a couch or bed. She gets along with other dogs and is currently in a home with 3 other dogs. She is learning to play with her canine brother and sisters, she gives a low bark and bows down to initiate play. She does zoomies around the yard and loves to smell the fresh cold air. She is spayed and UTD on her vaccinations. She is looking for a home with a fenced in yard that will provide her the patience while she navigates the new life of being a family pet. She has a lot of love to give. Please fill out an application if interested in meeting Breezy.

Story
Sansa, Jasmine, Maple, Ava, and Hobbs are all Great Pyrenees/Retriever mix puppies born on May 9th. These huggable, lovable teddy bears are ready for their homes! 4 have found their forever homes, and 5 are remaining. There are 4 females and 1 male left in the litter. As of 9/24, these puppies weighed between 25-27 lbs each, and just are hitting their growth spurt 😊 Here is what the foster wrote about each of them as of 9/24- Hobbs – He is an old soul in a puppy’s body. Hobbs is the smallest of the litter and a very sweet boy that can be somewhat sensitive in nature, although remaining very loving and affectionate. Probably from getting picked on by his bigger brothers and sisters, but I’m sure with time on his own he will flourish. He is a laid-back boy that mostly enjoys lounging around, taking long naps, and keeping to himself. He is a quiet, happy, smiley boy that prefers to stay out of trouble. His love language is gift giving (treats) and quality time. He is a happy guy anywhere, indoors or outdoors. He has a new love for water and getting dirty, when he used to be very dainty and clean haha. Maple - Maple is a sweet girl that respects her boundaries and chooses not to escape. She would be great for someone wanting to teach a dog off leash and recall, as she does not stray far from you at any given time. She prefers to stay dry and clean although she will go in water on her own terms. Maple enjoys playing with kids and other dogs and expresses interest in treats (zukes) and running after the ball. Maple is a very happy-go-lucky gal that is seeking companionship. Maple also expresses interest in moving reflections on the ground, she has the potential to be a red dot chaser (laser pointer light). Maples love language is gift giving and quality time. Ava - Ava has the softest prettiest white coat of all the pups. Her ears are like little radars, and she will alarm you of anything going on out of the ordinary. She also enjoys talking back to you from time to time, but not nearly as often as her sister. When she’s not on high alert, Ava enjoys lounging around and napping. She is very laid back most of the time. She is your shadow and loves to be next to you. She LOVES to be petted and get belly rubs. Ava likes to go for walks and explore new things, she’s a very curious girl. Her love languages are gift giving (treats) and quality time. Jasmine – Description: PERFECT. Knows sit and shake. Very smart. Jasmine has a love for the outdoors and wide-open spaces. After a long walk, Jasmine enjoys sitting in the swimming pool, although not fully submerged, just enough to cool off her backside. She likes to use her front paws to give hugs and to shake. She is a sweet girl who is full of love and kisses. Sometimes you will find Jasmine just sitting back, relaxing and people watching in the shade. She enjoys a good belly rub and will roll over on her back so that you know exactly what she needs. Loves her attention and will lean on her siblings to push them down to get more loving from the humans. She’s a hoot. The mom is a beautiful white retriever mix, and the dad is a Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix on the smaller side. We do have pictures of the parents and mom will be getting fixed and staying with the original finder. We estimate full grown these puppies will be around 55-70 lbs. These puppies have got it all going on. They were born in foster care and have been exposed to other dogs, all ages of children and adults since they were born and are the friendliest, most loving puppies you’ll meet. They LOVE water. Give them a pool, take them to the river/lake/ocean or any body of water and they’ll go crazy. Their thicker coats make them wonderful candidates to live up north during the winter and enjoy the beautiful summers. We have a fun video of them playing in their pool! They all love children! They would make wonderful family dogs. Their tails don’t stop wagging when they see people and they are always up for a good time, whether it’s playing outside, going on walks, or just learning new things. The current foster has 2 children - 3 and 5 years old and they do fantastic with them. They are house trained. 5 puppies are a lot to have, but these babies are already learning quickly. Very smart. They follow the fosters dogs outside and when given one on one time, they will master whatever you teach them. They love to cuddle and give kisses. You’ll get kisses galore with them! They are all very quirky, amazing puppies that are all around happy go lucky and just love to cuddle, run around, play and get lots of love. These babies will make FANTASTIC family dogs and very loyal companions. ________________________________________________________________________________ If you would like to adopt this doggy/puppy, please complete an application on our website: www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, current on preventions, dewormed and microchipped. We have more dogs being turned into rescue. We will keep our site update as they come in, are vetted and determined ready to be adopted. If you have never had a Pyr Puppy you need to read this : http://www.nepyresq.org/page/i-want-a-great-pyrenees-puppy-50.html The application process is to go to our website and fill out an adoption application form. http://www.nepyresq.org/page/adoption-process-47.html We do not accept INVISIBLE fencing for the following reasons: 1) Most Pyrs ignore the pain and go through it. 2) This is a guardian breed and this fencing does not keep people or other animals out of your yard. The Pyr could take them as a threat or be attacked. WE do not allow them to be tied out. It makes them aggressive. If you do not have a fenced yard then a fenced area would be acceptable. Most of these dogs are not a dog park breed. They bark a lot and can bother your neighbors.

Rose (aka Rainey) - DOB 10/27/2017 spayed female. She was ours and one of the Iowa 5 dogs we took in back in 2018. She was adopted in 2019. The Owners are not well. She is good with other animals. Extremely shy of new people but no aggression there. She will do best in a home with another dog. Rose will need time to warm up to you. She MUST have a fenced yard. She will take time for you to be able to touch her and to leash her. You must earn her trust. Please go to our website if you are interested in one of our dogs. It explains the process and has an application you can fill out there. . If it goes through you will get an email from nepyresq@gmail.com with the next steps of the process. http://www.nepyresq.org/page/adoption-process-guidelines-48.html
