Story
Aspen | Great Pyrenees-Black Labrador mix 1 year | Neutered | 85 lbs Aspen is a young Pyrenees Lab mix, neutered, heartworm negative and very sweet and cuddly. He is dog and people friendly- we are not sure about cats. Aspen does very well in his crate and he is respectful inside the house. He did live in a home with toddlers and is fine with kids although his size should be considered. He is very tall and quite agile although he is presently underweight. Aspen would do well with a young, active family with a backyard. Aspen has a great temperament and will do well in most family dynamics. Fostered in Central Jersey. Available for meet-n-greets on weekends. Adoption Fee includes all age-appropriate shots, deworming, spay/neuter certificate (if too young to be fixed) and microchip, dog food, leash and collar. PLEASE NOTE -- WE CAN ONLY RESPOND TO APPLICANTS WHO HAVE FILLED OUT AN APPLICATION AND ARE CONSIDERED A GOOD MATCH FOR THIS PET. Story
Meet Yeoreum💕 (It means summer in Korean) * Toward People: Likes people, but lacks sufficient familiarity. Is not used to be petted, but she would open up to people if they pet her often and gently!🩷 * Toward Dogs: Has a good relationship with others! Gets along well with other dogs.🥰 * Separation Anxiety & Potty Training: Does outdoor potty at the Adogs center. 💌Special Note💌 We are unable to determine the extent of separation anxiety and potty training as she is still living in a center environment with group living. ❗Rescue Story❗ Yeoreum is one of the dogs that Adogs rescued from a dog meat farm. Even though she had the terrible memories of witnessing other dogs being killed one by one in a dog farm, she overcame it and is doing good at the Adogs Center.

Story
Nancy is a STUNNING 45 pound (and still growing!), 5-month-old Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix. She has a big personality, but that's what makes her so fun and amazing. Nancy came to the rescue with all her siblings and is now hoping she will find her forever home like the rest of them. According to her foster, out of the dozen dogs they have had in their home over the last few years, Nancy is definitely one of their all-time favorites. Nancy is just such a sweet, beautiful girl. She loves exploring, playing, and making friends. This being her first winter, she has discovered she is a big fan of romping in the snow! This big girl has lots of puppy love she wants to share with everyone, but due to her size, she might do best with bigger kids. She also would love another dog to play and pal around with. Basically, Nancy is a home run of a dog! She's a big sweet playful puppy- so excited to share her huge heart with the right family for her. Could that be you?? Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Flint is a 40 pound, 5 month old Pyrenees/Lab mix. This handsome boy is deliciously soft and strikingly handsome. True to his Pyr heritage, he is initially a bit wary of strangers and will bark a little when first meeting new people. He warms up quickly, however, and will soon be in their lap and giving plenty of kisses! Flint adores his people and is a delicious snuggler! His favorite is a cuddle on the couch in the evening, and he does think he's a lap dog! Flint is obsessed with the other dogs in his foster home and would love a canine sibling in his new home. He follows the other dogs in his foster home around and likes to climb on top of them for a cuddle or a wrestle. Flint is still a mouthy puppy but redirects well to his toys. He enjoys playing with his toys and can often be found carrying a favorite around with his head held high and whole body wiggling. This cutie is very much in his puppy phase and needs to be monitored well and properly stimulated so he does not get into trouble. Flint likes to be outside and would love a home with a fenced yard. He is crate trained, housetrained if kept on a schedule, walks well on leash, and knows "sit". Flint is food motivated and very trainable. He will brighten the lives of a very lucky family! Story
Hi there, I’m Thumper, a 1-year-old 45 lb Great Pyrenees. I may only have three legs, but that doesn’t slow me down at all. I’m a sweet and energetic pup with a gorgeous coat and an even bigger heart. I love being around people and kids, and I’m already picking up lots of good manners! I know how to sit when asked and am getting better at coming when called. I’m almost housetrained, too—just a little more practice, and I’ll have it mastered. I’m a smart, eager-to-learn pup who thrives with patience and training. And let’s be honest—I’ll do just about anything for some attention and a good scratch from my favorite humans. If you’re looking for a resilient, affectionate companion who’s always ready to bring joy into your life, I could be the perfect fit. I can’t wait to find a forever family who’ll see just how special I am! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). Story
Hi there! I’m Janie, a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees mix weighing 60 pounds. I’m as sweet as they come and am looking for a loving forever family who will appreciate my gentle nature and big heart. I wasn’t always in the best circumstances; I was found in an animal trap before being rescued, but that hasn’t stopped me from trusting people and showing just how loving I can be. I get along with both people and other dogs, and I’m always excited to make new friends, whether they have two legs or four! Walking on a leash is one of my strengths—I enjoy our walks and am calm and easy to handle. I’m excited for the next chapter of my life and can’t wait to find a family to call my own!
