Story
Marco is a gorgeous, young Great Pyrenees mix. Marco was pretty neglected his entire first year of life and roamed around with a pack of several other dogs in rural Kansas until the local Sheriff’s department stepped in and got the dogs into rescue. A few months later he made the journey to colder weather in Minnesota! He happily spends time outside in the snow and cold weather. He would love a home with some outdoor space to run. Marco has shown some strong guardian instincts and will need a patient and confident owner to help him learn and adapt. Marco is crate trained and potty trained. He will sleep fine in his crate at night, but he prefers to have free roam. He loves a good bone or antler to chew on. In his current foster home he lives with a dog, cat and small children. It took a few weeks to warm up, but now Marco loves playing with his dog brother. They wrestle inside and love running in the snow together outside. He walks pretty well on a leash, but could benefit from ongoing training as he can be a strong boy! Marco would love to have a home with a patient, calm and confident human who will give him time to open up and come out of his shell. He is learning quickly, but with his protective instincts he needs direction and reassurance from his human. With time and patience, he will be a wonderfully loyal dog! Meet Juneau, an 8-month-old Great Pyrenees mix with a gentle and laid-back personality! This calm, quiet girl is as easy-going as they come and loves nothing more than cuddling up with her favorite humans. Juneau is both potty trained and crate trained, making her a great addition to any home. She’s wonderful with kids, always patient and sweet, and while she can be a bit shy around other dogs, she warms up with time. Her demeanor suggests she’d be just fine with cats, though she hasn't been tested yet. If you're looking for a calm, cuddly companion, Juneau is the perfect fit! Story
Meet Edith: The Sweet Husky Mix Puppy! Edith is an adorable female husky mix puppy with a heart full of love and a spirit that’s both vibrant and curious. She’s crate trained and has quickly adapted to her new home, having only had one accident since arriving—an impressive feat for a young pup! This little sweetheart is a true toy lover and enjoys chewing on bones, making playtime one of her favorite activities. Edith is dog-friendly and has shown she’s great with kids, making her an excellent addition to any family. She’s also met a cat—her initial barking was more out of confusion than anything else, and with time, we believe she’d adjust well to feline companions. Despite her puppy energy, Edith has a surprisingly chill demeanor. While she loves to play, she also enjoys lounging around the house and soaking up the comfort of her surroundings. Unlike many husky mixes, she isn’t overly vocal; she may bark a bit at night in her kennel but has shown no signs of excessive howling or barking. Once she warms up, Edith becomes extremely cuddly and affectionate. She’s still learning to embrace love, but she adores belly rubs and ear scratches, making her moments of affection all the more special. One quirky aspect of her personality is her apprehension around cars; she tends to avoid getting in but is perfectly fine once she’s settled inside. Edith is affectionate, observant, silly, and curious, often following her foster family’s dogs around like a little shadow. She would thrive in a home with another dog who can help guide her as she continues to learn and grow. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving puppy to brighten your life, Edith is ready to bring joy and cuddles into your home! Adopt Edith at: https://tailsofhopewi.org/adoptable-animals-2

Story
Meet Athena, our lovable Pyrenees mix with a heart full of sweetness and a few quirky traits! She’s a bit on the timid side, preferring to quietly observe the world rather than dive right in. While she’s got an adventurous streak, especially when it comes to snow (she loves eating it!), she’s definitely not an outdoor dog—she’s all about the cozy comforts of being a beloved indoor companion. Her instincts might say “chase” when it comes to chickens, and she might have some tension with cats (they’re just not her thing!), but with the right training and patience, she’s sure to thrive in a calm, structured home. What Athena truly wants is to be a pampered pet, loved and doted on, with no job to do—just a cozy spot to call her own and lots of belly rubs. If you're looking for a sweet, low-maintenance, and snow-loving companion, Athena might just be the one for you
