My name is Poppy and I am a Great Pyrenees/Husky mix with a tiny bit of Australia Shepherd in there too. When I came into rescue, I tested positive for heartworm! After several months of treatment and waiting, I am all healthy and ready to find my forever home. I currently live with 2 dogs and 2 cats. I LOVE playing with my doggie siblings and would do best in a home with another dog to play with and continue teaching me how to be an inside puppy. I also like my feline siblings and like to chase them when they run away. I would also be okay living in a home with a confident or dog savvy cat. I am potty and crate trained. I am most comfortable when I can see my foster siblings when I’m in my crate. It helps me feel not so alone. I sleep in bed with my foster mom and dad, or on my dog bed on the floor. I’m not super cuddly and won’t try to climb in your lap or jump on you, but I will come up for pets or lay next to you on the couch. My favorite toys are Nylabones or Benebones! I could chew on them ALL DAY LONG. They are the best. I also love squeaky toys and could maybe figure out fetch with some guidance. I love to be outside and I have loved all of this snow! I do okay on a leash, but I would prefer a nice fenced in yard to run around in. After all, I am mostly Great Pyramees and love having a yard to patrol and wander in. My foster mom says I am the sweetest and easiest girl to take care of. She also says I am so funny and silly too. Adoption fee: $525

Lucas is a 1.5-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who made the long journey from Arkansas to Minnesota in hopes of finding the forever family he deserves. He was originally brought to a vet clinic in Arkansas as a stray, and thanks to a partner rescue that works closely with No Dog Left Behind, he was given a second chance. Now he’s living in a loving foster home with kids and other dogs, settling into home life beautifully. At about 50 pounds, Lucas is the perfect mid-sized companion, and his personality is even more impressive than his looks. He absolutely adores people—especially kids—and loves being part of the family’s everyday activities. Despite being young, he has a gentle, calming presence and is a joy to have around. His foster family describes him as sweet, affectionate, and wonderfully easygoing. Lucas gets along great with other dogs and enjoys having canine buddies to play with or relax beside. He’s shown interest in cats but hasn’t had a formal introduction yet, so with slow and proper acclimation he may do well with them. He is crate trained, knows how to sit, and is eager to learn anything else you’re willing to teach him. For a Pyrenees mix, he’s also quite quiet—his barking is minimal, making him an even better fit for many households. He's doing great with potty training, leash walking and riding in the car as well. Lucas would thrive in a family that’s looking for a loyal, loving dog who’s great with children and enjoys the company of other dogs. This handsome cutie is a 2-year-old, 76.6-pound Lab mix who came to us from an unfortunate situation where he lived chained up outdoors.While Maverick does love being outside, he is looking for a family who can provide him with sufficient shelter and all the love he deserves.He is an extremely gentle and friendly boy who adores people and snuggles (and as you can see by his Santa hat, he is very patient!). He loves running around, especially in the snow!Maverick is quite new to the shelter and has only made a few dog friends so far. He can be a little picky with unaltered male dogs, but does great with his puppy pals! We require a meet-and-greet with any current pets in the household to ensure everyone will be good buddies.Since Maverick lived in an outdoor-only environment, he needs a little help with his potty training. The good news is he’s a smart, treat-motivated boy who will be happy to learn!Maverick is microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and available for foster to adopt until he`s scheduled to be neutered at The Babinski Foundation. You can visit him Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.
