Story
Meet Olga- Olga is a 4-month-old large breed puppy who is already showing signs of growing into a big, beautiful dog. This sweet girl is still learning what it means to be a dog, and while she can be a little unsure about certain noises, shes making great progress in building her confidence. Olga is doing wonderfully with kennel training and is mastering potty training like a champ. When shes not playing with her favorite toys, youll likely find her curled up on the couch for a cozy nap. Despite her size, Olga has a calm and gentle demeanor, and each day, shes becoming more self-assured in her surroundings. If youre looking for a loyal and loving companion who is ready to grow alongside you, Olga is your girl. Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by my friends at Tito's Handmade Vodka. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $250.00 will be applied during the contract process. Logan is a good boy! He likes to chew bones, wrestle with our resident dog, take naps and he loves to bark! He's definitely in his teen years and can be a bit sassy, at times. He's a great big, lovable goofball who would do great with a family that wants to snuggle and play with him! Logan is a big boy who really likes people. However, due to his size and occasional mouthiness he'd do best in a home with older children. He also isn't super comfortable with small dogs. He would love to have a larger canine friend. He walks well on a leash but is working on some leash reactivity. He requires a physically fenced yard in his fur-ever home. Are you the one for him?

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  I know you want to meet me. I will be at Pet Evolution, St. Paul, 1074 Grand Ave. St. Paul, MN 55105 for an Adoption Event on Saturday, February 15th from 12:00-2:00 pm. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Hi, I’m Roper, a 7-year-old with a heart as big as my paws (and I’ve got some pretty big paws)! I weigh about 55 pounds, but I promise I’m all cuddles and calm vibes. I’m super chill and love nothing more than lounging outside in a fenced yard, watching the birds and squirrels do their thing. I’m not much of a barker, except when those pesky garbage trucks or emergency vehicle sirens pass by – gotta keep my humans safe, right? I’m a mellow guy who enjoys the simple pleasures in life: belly rubs, cuddling with my foster mom, and occasionally letting out a quiet woof when something surprises me. I’m potty trained, crate trained (though I don’t really need a crate since I’m so well-behaved), and I walk pretty well on a leash – though I’m still perfecting my leash manners. My favorite thing? Being outside to take in all the sights and sounds, or just chilling with my people.  I’m really hoping you have a fenced yard because being outside to watch things and enjoy all the smells is just the bestest thing ever!  I’m good with other dogs of all sizes, so I’m open to sharing my space with another dog if needed. I also do well with kitties.  I’m a bit of a quiet guy who loves attention but doesn’t need to be the center of the party. I know some fun stuff too, isn’t that cool?  I know “sit”, “down”, “come” as well as a command for go outside.  Aren’t I smart? I don't like wooden stairs though.  They are kind of scary.   I do love attention and belly rubs, but I also really love my peoples and keeping them company.  If you’re looking for a laid-back companion who’ll keep you company on the couch or the porch, I’m your boy! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year Great Pyrenees. She weighs about 90 pounds. She has a beautiful coat and the typical extra back toes commonly found in this breed. This is a guardian breed dog. They naturally will protect their flock or family. This breed will do best in a fully fenced yard as they will roam away if there is no fence. She is good with other dogs and will need some more leash work. She would be great with someone that knows the breed and loves it. She should have the natural tendencies of this breed. She had puppies and we adopted them out. We also adopted out the larger male that was found with her as a stray. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccines, healthy, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas anc can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!

Story
Welcome Sadie to CCPAL foster Program. Sadie is a 5-year-old Great Pyrenees and maybe Mastiff dog mix dog. She was gotten to be a livestock guardian and while she likes livestock, she does not feel the desire to guard. She is a house pet. She is what we call a couch potato. She does not get on the couch in her foster home, but she is laid back and very contented to lounge. She knows sit, doesn’t jump up, good with dogs, good with cats, good with kids, potty trained and ready for her forever home. She loves to sun herself outside and will dig a small spot to lay in. She would be good as an only dog or with other dogs. She is more of a companion animal over the outdoor and hiking type. She weighs about 70 pounds. She is vaccinated, spayed, heartworm negative and a joy to have around. She is being fostered in an environment that is loud, has lots of animals and new people all the time. She is very calm in this environment. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 if you have any questions. Please go to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com with questions. You can get an application online at www.ccpalrescue.org
