Story
Goose – 2 Month Old Great Pyrenees Mix Goose is a 2 month old Great Pyrenees mix with a soft, fluffy coat and a sweet, easygoing personality. His mom is a Great Pyrenees mix, and based on dogs seen in the area, we believe dad may be a pure Great Pyrenees. While that is not guaranteed, Goose is expected to grow into a large, fluffy adult dog. Great Pyrenees are a livestock guardian breed known for being loyal, intelligent, and naturally protective. Goose will likely develop these traits as he matures. Because of this, he will do best in a home that is familiar with or willing to learn about the needs of guardian breeds. At this age, Goose is a typical young puppy who enjoys being held, playing, and exploring his surroundings. As he grows, he will need structure, consistent training, and an environment suited for a large breed dog. Goose is: Neutered Microchipped Up to date on vaccines and preventions Adoption Fee: $250 Local Adoption Fee (in Texas) $550 Out of State Adoption (includes transport to your area) Goose is looking for a home prepared for a large, loyal companion and ready to provide the guidance and care he will need as he grows.

Story
- Came from a situation where she did not get the structure and exposure to the world that dogs typically get from a young age. Because of this, she is looking for a patient, mature home with family members who understand that she'll need time to settle in and learn new things, such as potty training, leash conditioning and crate-training. - Will do best with slow, controlled introductions to new dogs, and if she goes to a home with other dogs, management techniques may be needed to help her build confidence and feel comfortable with her dog housemates and sharing resources; those techniques could include supervised playtime, baby gates, multiple water stations, feeding separately and others - and we're happy to discuss these things with you and answer any questions you have when you visit - May also need supervision while outside to help keep her safe and secure This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you're interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: White Weight: 101.5 Age: 1yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
- Loves a good rubdown and if you scratch right at the base of her tail she'll be your buddy for life! - Loves people and loves to play - Walks nicely on a leash - Knows sit, stand and "let's go play!" and her previous family said she listened well - Not a fan of loud noises or crowds; would prefer a chill home - Prefers to be left alone when she has food or food items; looking for a teens-and-up home right now where everyone is mature enough to understand that - Has lived with other dogs but can be choosy about her dog friends (dog intro recommended)- Needs a home with no cats - Has a history of needing special accommodations for routine veterinary care and would do best with a vet that uses Fear Free techniques This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. Story
Willow is almost 3 (6/9/23) and is such a great dog. She is very much a people person animal and will lay at your feet and jump up on your lap daily for cuddles. We’ve raised her not to jump on people and she’s very obedient and smart. She’s playful and loves walks and tug a war. She absolutely loves being outside unless it’s raining lol. She doesn’t care to get wet. We got her from a local breeder in Guthrie Center. I am an empty nester with a busy schedule and she deserves a home with someone who has more time for her or with kids to play with her. She also sheds quite a bit so please be ok with that. We love her very much and this is not an easy decision. Wanting to find a good/right home for her.

Story
Milo is a sweet, loving 9-month-old Great Pyrenees, Poodle, and Golden Retriever mix. He has the biggest heart and absolutely loves to cuddle, give kisses, and be close to his people. Milo came from a hoarding situation prior to joining our family, so he’s still learning confidence and structure. Because of this, he does best when he has guidance and support from a calm, confident older dog—he truly thrives with a strong canine companion to help him feel secure. He is a good boy with so much potential in the right environment. Milo would do best in a home that: • Has another well-balanced, older dog • Can provide consistency, patience, and structure • Understands he may need continued training and reassurance
