Story
Meet Max! He’s a lovable giant—a Great Pyrenees German shepherd mix. He’s 2 years old and about 65 pounds. He’s friendly and loving. This big boy has boundless energy and a cheerful personality that will bring joy to any home. He’s house trained and absolutely adores people, especially kids. He was surrendered to us because his previous owner didn’t have a fence and the neighbors were threatening to shoot him.Max is a social butterfly who loves hanging out with other dogs—as long as they mind their manners. He’s all about good vibes and gets along great with friendly, easygoing pups. Rude or pushy dogs? Not Max’s style! With his happy-go-lucky attitude, Max is ready for adventures, snuggles, and a family to call his own. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s as sweet as he is large, Max might just be your perfect match!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.December 15, 2024, 6:04 am

Story
Bell is as sweet as she looks and would make a perfect addition to any family (born 11/2022)! True to her breed (Great Pyrenees) - she is gentle, affectionate and friendly as can be to dogs and people of all ages and sizes. Yep, she's perfect. Well, almost perfect. Her only flaw is that if she sees an open door, she's probably going to try running out of it. She's a social butterfly... can you blame her for wanting to head out of the open front door and take a lap around the neighborhood to say 'hi' to her neighbors?! Don't worry, though - she does amazing on a leash. Plus, she's potty-trained and knows plenty of basic commands. See? Perfect! Bell would truly do amazing with any kind of family - kids, other dogs, suburb, or acreage. She would prefer not to have to spend a lot of her time in a kennel - that stresses her out a little. Her only other request is that her family gives her lots of loves, attention, and... a fenced in backyard and lots of outside time. If Bell sounds like a fit for you, apply to adopt her today! The suggested adoption donation for Bell is $400, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time owner,s find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Rocky is a sweet, fuzzy dog (born Nov. 2022) who loves people, kitties, dogs*, and is great with kids/babies of any age. He's gentle, well-behaved, potty-trained, and ready for his forever home! He knows how to "sit", "come" and "move out of the way". Rocky would do great on a farm or in a home where there's plenty of room to run and play, ideally with a furfriend around. *Rocky likes being the man of the house, so he prefers female dogs over male dogs! Rocky is a fabulous boy who will make a wonderful addition to any family. Apply to adopt him today! If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses. All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age. All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized. ##2228036##
