Story
Katniss is a sweet, fuzzy gal (born Nov. 2021) who loves people, kitties, dogs, and is great with kids/babies of any age. She's well-behaved, potty-trained, and loves napping in the sunshine. Katniss would make an amazing addition to any family! She is a super-gentle giant and mostly enjoys laying in the backyard.  She knows how to "come" and "hush". She does best when around other dogs so she needs to have another dog at home to keep her company. Her buddy Rocky is also available through Muddy Paws. Apply to adopt Katniss today!  The suggested adoption donation for Katniss is $400, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Rocky is a sweet, fuzzy dog (born Nov. 2022) who loves people, kitties, dogs*, and is great with kids/babies of any age. He's gentle, well-behaved, potty-trained, and ready for his forever home! He knows how to "sit", "come" and "move out of the way". Rocky would do great on a farm or in a home where there's plenty of room to run and play, ideally with a furfriend around. *Rocky likes being the man of the house, so he prefers female dogs over male dogs! Rocky is a fabulous boy who will make a wonderful addition to any family. Apply to adopt him today! The suggested adoption donation for Rocky is $400, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age. All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized. ##2228036##

Story
Nash is a Great Pyrenees/Poodle mix, born February 2019.  Nash is looking for a home with a large fenced yard.  He doesn't mind being inside, but he enjoys being outside and having a place to stretch his legs.  He is friendly with people, other dogs and kids of all ages.  He might also be okay around cats.  He is active and leash trained.  He also knows some commands and likes to fetch.  Don't let his size fool you - he also thinks he's a lap dog!  Keep an eye on the front door if open because that is an invitation for him to run out. Nash prefers to have another dog, cat or person around.  If you're looking for a dog that loves to loved on, apply today! The suggested adoption donation for Nash is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. Story
My son's dog had 6 puppies. I already have 3 dogs of my own and I need to have 2 females and 1 male gone by next month. They are now 5 months old. The humane society in my town is unable to take them, and I am getting desperate as I don't want to be kicked out of my home. My son wants $200 for the females and $250 for the male but at this point, if someone wants one and they are descent people, they can have one or them for free.
