Story
Everyone meet Beau. I rescued him from my little sister on Feb 2024 and planned to foster him until he got healthy. My sister just had a baby and couldn’t afford him, or provide and care and had to place him outside. I am a HUGE pet lover and once I found out what kinda shape he was in- I went to pick him up. He was covered in sores and found out he had heart worms after I took him to the vet to get checked over. He has been fully treated and is heart worm free. I have grown to love Beau so much but before I rescued him, I already had a dog and a very busy life. He has a lot of energy and NEEDS to be around someone or a family that is active and willing to give him SO much of their love and time. He deserves nothing but a loving/playful home!

Story
Meet Kylie, a sweet and playful one-year-old Great Pyrenees mix weighing in at 65 pounds. With a heart as big as her paws, Kylie is the definition of a love bug! She thrives on attention and affection, and there isn’t a dog she doesn’t like. Lucky for Kylie, she gets to attend doggy daycare with her foster mom every day, where she has a blast playing with her doggy friends. You’ll often catch her in a playful “bow” position, inviting others to join in on her fun. And if you toss a ball, be prepared for her to chase it with the enthusiasm of a true toy lover! But Kylie isn’t just a pretty face—she’s also super smart! She loves learning new things and eagerly engages in any activity that sparks her curiosity. Her favorite thing in the world? Being surrounded by her humans. There’s nothing more delightful to her than snuggling up and hearing a cheerful “good girl!” Kylie’s journey to happiness hasn’t always been easy. She came to Fur Fun Rescue from the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center when they were at full capacity and unable to care for her. At the time, Kylie was underweight, suffering from entropion (a painful condition where her eyelid rubbed against her eye), and had a fluid-filled lump on her rump. Thankfully, Kylie’s life has turned around. She’s now at a healthy weight, her eye surgery was a success, and the lump on her hip was safely removed (it was caused by her previous malnutrition and has since been deemed harmless). Kylie is now happy, healthy, and ready to find her forever home. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will always keep you on your toes with her playful spirit, Kylie just might be the perfect match for you! Kylie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm tested. She requires a physically fenced yard so she can safely run and play. If you would like to meet Kylie, please complete the adoption application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Kylie, you can contact rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Indoor homes only. Adopters within two hours of Cedar Rapids, IA only, please. Adoption fee $300.
