Story
Meet Nala! Age: Adult Weight: 85lbs Breed: Great Dane Good with: Dogs, cats and older kids House trained: Yes Crate trained: Not required Special needs: Hypertrophic Osteo Dystrophy, needs a home without stairs Nala is a sweet and loving pup who has been through some difficult physical challenges and is looking for a patient, compassionate forever home. Nala was confiscated by Animal Control due to neglect. She was born with Hypertrophic Osteo Dystrophy that went untreated. This rare condition affects bone growth in affected puppies that require steroids to treat painful flare ups and in Nala caused some deformation in her limbs and joints. Despite this condition, Nala is an incredibly gentle and loving dog. She has yet to meet a stranger and loves all the dogs and people she has met. Because of her size, it is recommended that she live with older children. She is housebroken and does not require a crate when left alone. Because of her condition, a home without stairs would be best for her. Nala is looking for a cuddle buddy as she is super snuggly and a Velcro pup in her foster home. Sadly, we do not know what the future holds for Nala due to her medical concerns. She is looking for and deserves a home where she can be cherished despite the challenges she faces. Nala radiates love and affection, are you the person who can share your heart and home with a pup in need? **Nala is fostered in Brookfield Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $300, ($550 for a pair). Story
Gremlin is being fostered in NC. Howdy, I'm Gremlin, a 6 month old Great Dane, but don't worry, you CAN get me wet and I won't turn into Spike! I actually LOVE playing in water. My foster Mommy says I am a gentle giant, but I am still a baby and very playful. I need to learn my commands by touch because I cannot see or hear. And, well, I can be a little slower and I need repetitiveness with my training so I can be a very good boy. My foster Mommy is working with me on my manners, but I can be a bit slow because I have a great nose for food wherever it is heehee. It takes me a little time to navigate a new area, but I will get it, just be patient with me. Right now, I have a Cane Corso foster sister to play with and I love playing tug and wrestle with her. I am already potty and crate trained! When I wake in the morning, I will bark to let you know I has to go outside to do my business. I also walk well on a leash. The bestest thing I really love is to have my ears rubbed and to cuddle with humans. I don't know why they feel squished, after all, I'm the same size as a chihuahua aren't I LOL I just want my very own family to love me and guide me along my journey in this life. And, of course, to cuddle with furever. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
What an adorable little firecracker !! FULL of personality and afraid of nothing! She is confident, curious, LOVES the water and her baby pool. Often times she's the only one willing to get in. LAMAREY lives to be with other dogs and especially adores her humans. She is literally always happy! You cannot rain on her parade! She is kennel trained and almost house trained! She is a joy to have as part of our foster family. LAMAREY is with me in my home in Memphis, Tn. Once adopted , she will travel via Rescue Vet Transport to her new forever family. Once an application has been submitted and approved , I would be happy to speak with you and tell you all of the wonderful things about her ! You will find our volunteer team to be very responsive so please refrain from submitting an application until you are ready to welcome a new forever family member. Transport runs each weekend, leaving Memphis Tennessee Friday morning around 6 AM at which time they start a group chat with the two drivers and all the adopters who have a A Pet on board. Transport is an additional $185.

Story
Intake Reason: Surrendered, unable to care forWeight: 80 lbs Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: good - lived with various & does well in WCHS playgroups ·Kids: good - lived with 6 kids, various agesHello, my name is Bugs and I am as cute as a bug in a rug; some even say I am stunning. I am a polite and gracious girl and I appreciate when people take things slow since I am a wee bit shy. I am friendly and like to meet people; I simply am grateful when things move at an easy pace. When I first arrived at WCHS I was somewhat discombobulated because everything was so strange and new, but I have been feeling more comfortable each day. I even took a road trip to Madison and spent a week while I helped a bunch of the students learn how to be veterinarians; that was quite an interesting adventure. While waiting to be discovered by my forever family, I have been spending my time going on walks, participating in playgroup with calm pooches and keeping my brain busy with enrichment. If you have room in your home and your heart for a Great Weimar, I may be just the gal you have been looking for. I am a tender soul with a ton of love to give; I am looking forward to forming a special bond with you. I enjoy hiking and exploring with you by my side and hope there are many evenings filled with snuggles; I really enjoy a good cuddle. I hope to find a family that will provide physical exercise to maintain my fabulous athletic build plus mental exercise to keep my beautiful brain happy and engaged. I think it would be fun to do training using patient and positive techniques; it is always nice to learn new skills because it can give a girl a confidence boost. I promise to be devoted and loyal to you forever. I hope you stop by to make my acquaintance; I am certain we can have a splendid life together.#2

Story
Meet Hank the Great Dane ARRIVING IN WI December 6th! Hank is a 2 year old male Great Dane. He has a gorgeous black and white coat and the sweetest personality! Hank is a sweet boy found himself surrendered to the shelter when his family could no longer afford to feed him. He has since seen the veterinarian and is in the process of gaining back the weight he lost. He is excited to be loved and spoiled the way he deserves to be and make the trip to WI where his belly will always be full! Hank is potty trained in Texas, however his new family should be prepared to do additional training while he learns the routine at his new home in WI as he is just adjusts to his new normal. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. He will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday December 6th, and will be available to meet, and take home if he is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. He is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on November 1st. Should he not be a good fit for your family upon meeting, the deposit is refundable. Story
Venus is an adorable, Great Dane mix who weighs about 109 lbs. She can be a little shy and timid at first, but once you give her a few treats, she is sweet and affectionate. She knows basic commands like `sit`, `down`, `paw`, `leave-it`, `watch` and more! She is potty-trained and crate trained. She is considered a medium energy dog, who is food motivated and very bright because she is picking up training fast! She would do best in a house without other pets. She is a sensitive girl who is working hard on her dog reactivity training during walks! She is a good dog who will stare into your eyes lovingly and give little kisses. She is also a good office companion while her foster mom works from home!
