Story
Meet Earl
Nickname: Earl the Pearl
Breed: Great Dane/ Yellow Lab mix
Rescue: Albert's Dog Lounge
Age: Early Senior, possibly 7-8 years old *estimate only*
Weight: 100 lbs
Foster home: Stoughton, WI
Activity level: Low inside, Medium outside (from couch potato to zoomies!)
Friendly with: Dogs and confident cats. Less good with nervous cats, but never aggressive, just unsure. Likely good with kids, though he has not been with young ones in his foster home.
Naughty Habits: will counter surf if you are foolish enough to leave snacks within sniff- or sight-range
Health Issues: Allergies. He is on maintenance allergy meds (about $150 a month), could need further treatment if flares occur. Would benefit from regular allergy baths
Meals: High quality Dry kibble, 1.5 cups, twice per day (morning and night).
Bark-o-meter: 2.5. Quiet in the house. Outside, he will alert bark at the neighbor, but briefly. Greets the chickens.
Shedding meter: 4. He prefers to call it leaving sparkles on the floor
Fashion: A black leather jacket with silver studs, aviator sunglasses and a mullet.
Signature color: Black and silver
Walk out song: "Bad to the Bone" by George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers
Favorite season: Summer.
Personality: Gentle, silly, cuddly, athletic, playful, quiet, curious
Best feature: His big, beautiful paws
Signature Move: Romping joyfully with friends in the yard
Love Language: Netflix and cuddle, kind words, a full bowl, and a soft bed.
Loves: The wind in his fur, soft beds, binging Crossing Jordan (the early 2000s gold standard in crime drama), sniffari in the yard, playing puppy games with friends. Would love to go for a ride in a motorcycle sidecar.
Earl is the best of the best. He is chill, funny, sweet, and always up for hanging out. He is a potty pro and knows that outside is the only place to be. He is food motivated, so he will do what you want him to do if a snack is involved.
