Theo is a merle Great Dane. He is fully intact. He needs a home with plenty of space and someone that can spend time with him. We are having some concerns with his behavior around children, so we would like for him to go to a home with adults.

Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 2/15/2023 Reason for being in rescue: breeder owner release/ health of owner  Foster:  Susan in Spartanburg SC  Special Needs? Piper is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Weight: 120 lbs Height: 30 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $250 Fence needed? Yes, Piper requires a physically fenced yard What kind of home would be best for me? Great Danes are known as gentle giants. They have hearts as big as their bodies and can be goofy and playful. Piper's days as a mama are behind her and it's time to live life as a pet. She could live happily with another large male dog or as your only dog. Due to her size we do not recommend a home with small dogs, cats or other smaller animals. Willow will be fine with children that have grown up with dogs.  What is my personality like? Piper is a very athletic and musculared beauty. When she is in a stance she is mesmerizing. But beyond her beauty is her loving, affectionate nature. Always seeking to please. She loves all people and would be a wonderful addition to a family who is active. A great camping, hiking, gaming, running, beaching companion. Piper's life goal is to climb to the mountain top of one of the gorgeous national parks in the US but shares that she expects a couch to already be sitting at the mountaintop for her to veg on! How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly Other tips and tidbits: Piper's birthday is 12/20/2017 House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. November 5, 2024, 5:31 pm

Her lovely brindle tanpoints make that black coat just pop.  When someone that she doesn’t know comes up to her she truly believes that they are her total world. Fickle girl! She adores doggy boys.  Have never seen a boy that she is not best friends with. She really prefers to be the only girl in the pack. She is just not interested to have female dog persuasion around. Chickens, ducks, peacocks, and cats she places in the same brain box as female dogs. Kirrah would love to be your recliner partner. Forget the couch, she wants to be in your lap, sharing your ice cream. Her life goal is to be a co-owner of an ice cream or frozen yogurt franchise where her primary duty is the official new taster. Meet Percy a wonderful sweet loving Greatdane. He is 6 years old. We named him Percy because of his silly personality He loves everyone and animals as well. He is a gentle giant that does not know his size. He needs a family that will take him out doors and needs a fenced in yard as he loves to enjoy the sun. He is truly a great dog and will make a family very Happy. The perfect family must have experience with Great Danes and understand this breed. He is full blooded with papers.vet records can be transferred as well.

Story
Phoenix came to us from the shelter when he was 4 years old. Unfortunately his prior owner mistreated him and he had his quirks but Phoenix has grown from his trauma. He is wonderful with my children and amazing with other dogs. He just has a bit of anxiety towards new people and loud noises. Phoenix is meant for someone who has land/space. So he can roam free! His favorite past times are when we can take him to daycare or trails. He loves to explore! Unfortunately, I now have a small child that requires more work and I live in a small apartment. Phoenix is so sweet and silly! I would be selfish to keep him because I can’t give him the space or attention he deserves! Phoenix is amazing. You’ll fall in love with him once he meets you and will cuddle you all night long and be your best friend and you’ll never feel alone. So please if you have the space please give him a better home to roam, run, play, friends to chase and above all just love him because he will love you right back!!!
