This sweet dog is an owner surrender. The current family could not afford to keep him and found it difficult to feed him. We naturally offered to help but they were also having to move which new home would not allow dogs. Especially a big one! Opie is an easy dog, very sweet . He is a mix of lab and Dane. He is happy in nature and will be a great dog for any family. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. Meet Harlow the Hunk! Harlow is a 4 year old Great Dane mix who was pulled after finding himself in a municipal shelter. We were happy to step in and give this handsome man the forever he deserves 💕 Harlow originally was an owner surrender due to his previous family becoming homeless and living out of their car. Harlow lived in that car with his family for a few months, before he found himself at the other shelter. Harlow was clearly loved in the past, but was not able to be properly cared for. He is very underweight and malnourished, but we are working on getting him back to a healthy weight. Harlow is SO sweet! He loves people, other dogs, cats, and is truly a gentle giant 💛 He acts like a puppy with all his happy energy and we are confident he will be a wonderful addition to a family. As with all rescue dogs, they will need a family who is understanding and prepared to work through a period of transition with them as they learn to live in a house and around people. They will need time to trust their new family before working on training, such as house training. This should go without saying, but we require all our animals to be trained using positive reinforcement methods ONLY.
