Story
Meet Roy Roy’s story is a heartbreaking one — but it’s also a story of resilience, healing, and hope. Roy was surrendered to the PSPCA in horrific condition. After sitting in the shelter for six days, they reached out to us, and we immediately stepped in. Roy was severely emaciated, and his bladder had herniated into his scrotum. He was rushed into emergency surgery, where he underwent a bladder repair, gastropexy, and was neutered. The first couple of weeks with us were understandably difficult for Roy. His past had not been kind. His previous owner failed to feed him properly, and he was constantly attacked by other dogs in the home. Roy was never socialized and was only allowed outside at 3 a.m. for bathroom breaks. He missed out on being a puppy — on safety, consistency, and love. But Roy is proving every day just how incredible he is. For the past month and a half, Roy has been attending Gypsy K9, where he has truly been thriving. He has learned how to interact with other dogs and has been enjoying playtime and structured socialization. While Roy is shy at first and needs time to build trust, once he feels safe, his true personality shines through — affectionate, silly, and a total goofball. Roy is: Neutered and Gastropexy Crate trained House trained Obedience trained Dog friendly with proper introductions Roy is looking for a patient, understanding home that will continue to help him grow and show him the life he always deserved.  Apply to adopt Roy: www.outcastrescue.com  PA Kennel License #16187 Roy has come so far — now all he needs is a forever family to call his own. Story
Bones is our Gentle Guardian with a Steady Soul”  Bones may sound like an unexpected name for a dog as strikingly handsome as this Great Pyrenees boy—but once you meet him, it fits perfectly. Bones has the kind of solid structure, steady presence, and dependable nature that makes you feel grounded just standing beside him. At just 11 months old and currently weighing about 60 pounds, he’s still a teenage pup—but his personality already carries the calm wisdom his breed is known for. Bones has a wonderfully peaceful demeanor. He’s the kind of dog who greets you at the door with quiet joy, offering comfort and companionship after a long day. There’s something incredibly reassuring about him—like a safe harbor wrapped in a fluffy white coat. He walks regally on leash, turning heads wherever he goes, and carries himself with confidence without being pushy or demanding. Despite a rough start in life—originally belonging to a homeless woman who left him in the care of friends—Bones has never let hardship shape his heart. Now safely with Critter Cavalry Rescue, he is neutered, fully vetted, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on all vaccines and deworming. Bones truly is a friend to all. He does beautifully with dogs, cats, chickens, and people of every age. True to his Great Pyrenees roots, he is observant and watchful, naturally protective without being reactive. He is housebroken, knows basic commands, and enjoys a structured routine. A securely fenced yard is a must—Bones loves spending long hours outside soaking up good weather, playing independently or alongside other dogs. He’s also mastered the art of indoor relaxation and proudly holds top honors from “Couch Potato School.” We expect Bones to mature into a stunning 75–85 pound adult. He would thrive with a family or individual who understands the Great Pyrenees breed and welcomes him as a true member of the household—inside and out, every day.If you’re searching for a loyal, gentle, and enduring companion, Bones is waiting. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you have the secure home and breed understanding this special boy deserves.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 25, 2025, 12:24 am

Good with dogs,
Story
Oakley came into rescue through a veterinary office. He is a very under weight, neutered 5 1/2 yrs old and will need time to decompress. He is unknown to young children. However, he is good with children 11 years and up. He appears to like all dogs of every size and shape and loves to play with them. He is not aware of his size so he will need direction when playing too rough. He will have a training contract as he loves to go for walks. However, if given enough lead he will pull you over. He is unknown with cats. If you have a home, would like to meet this boy, and are willing to give him a couch to sleep on, please let us know. Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about an adoption.
