Story
As a rescue , We do not euthanize dogs but dogs that are listed as URGENT are still waiting to be saved from animal control and they do euthanise. We can only save them when space is available or have an adopter Forrest is a 8 month old Great Dane mix. He weighs 58#s and heartworm negative. He needs a slow paced scenery as he hasn’t had much human interaction. He was given to a family where he got away and after about 4 months was able to be caught. He did good(really good) with other dogs, brought out some playfulness. Cats didn’t bother him at all either. Now available for adoption more pictures upon request.

Story
This sweet dog is an owner surrender. The current family could not afford to keep him and found it difficult to feed him. We naturally offered to help but they were also having to move which new home would not allow dogs. Especially a big one! Currently he seems to pick up in house training. So we are keeping fingers crossed!!!😀 Opie is an easy dog, very sweet . He is a mix of lab and Dane. He is happy in nature and will be a great dog for any family. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. Story
Ivy Rose Great Dane ( DNA Proves Full-Blood) Unfortunately Ivy was heartworm positive when rescued but is doing slow kill treatment and doing great. Hi! I’m Ivy Rose! I’m told I’m around the age of 3, but I’m not positive about that. I’m a Great Dane that was found as a stray with a litter of puppies under a porch at a school in Texas! I made my way up here in November 2023 with my litter of puppies. They all found their homes as soon as we got to New Jersey. But me? I haven’t had the best luck. I had two potential adopters but it didn’t work with them and my foster parents now say that it wasn’t my fault. And I think they’re right! It just wasn’t the right situation or the right people introducing me correctly to my new surroundings. I’m a real big girl but I’m on a diet now and exercising with my foster parents. I’m currently living with two dogs… and one of them is actually my son! I was correctly introduced to them and I’m doing really, really well with them. I will from time to time tell my son to get out of my face but it’s just normal dog communication and behavior and he’s a little annoying anyway ( a lot annoying actually, he’s a big boy that’s still a puppy). I also currently am with two little humans (2&4) and they’re pretty cool, too. I do get a little strange towards them if they’re crying/making loud noises though. So my foster mom has been giving us some space until I learn they’re not something to be frightened of. My foster dad has been really great exposing me to new things. I’ve been around chainsaws, chippers, mini skids, air compressors and really any loud scary thing you can think of. And I’m doing great with them! I also don’t mind the horses and goats here, they’re pretty fun to watch and they don’t even phase me. I do get a little scared on walks when cars pass by and I’ll lay down. But honestly I’m getting over that pretty quickly too! All in all I think I’m a really special girl. I REALLY love staying right by my foster parents sides and have no intention on running off. If I’ve accepted you as my, “person” I really won’t leave your side and I’ll want to be next to you 24/7. I know I could make someone really happy. I think it would be best to find a home that has large dog experience, older kids or no kids (as I’ve shown to be a little over interested when they’re upset/loud), another dog friend would be a lot of fun, someone willing to continue to work with me to build my confidence/structure/discipline/obedience. I know I have a lot of potential to be really great! Get your applications in. You must have an approved application to come and meet them. Once you submit an application please reach out to us in text or email. We text people so make sure your phone is not blocking unkown callers. Story
Hi there! I'm Smarty Jones, and I'm ready to win the Kentucky Derby... with you as my partner! Okay, maybe I'm not actually a racehorse, but I am as big as one-or at least that's what everyone says! Don't worry, I don't need a stable, just a comfy spot by your side and plenty of attention, which happens to be my favorite thing ever. Ear scratches? Yes, please. Belly rubs? Don't mind if I do!I'm working on putting on a little bit of weight, but what I really want is a forever home where I can be your loyal, loving companion. I'm a sweet, gentle guy with a heart full of love to give. So, if you're looking for a best friend who's ready to gallop into your life and make every day a victory, I'm your guy! Let's cross the finish line together-forever!Complete the online adoption application on our website. www.savehomelessanimals.org The shelter is open by appointment for approved adopters. We have appointments available daily except Mondays. We look forward to helping you find your furry best friend! Call 609-309-5214 with questions.
