Story
Sox is 8 months old, 40 lbs and a bundle of puppy energy. Sox was found as a stray when he was just 3 months old. We believe he is a great dane mixed with a lab, however, only time will tell how big he will get. He is super sweet to both dogs and cats, loves to cuddle with his humans and has a cute snore when he sleeps. He loves to eat all his food and then some! He has webbed feet that are all white like Socks! He is still working on potty training which can be due to to BIG dog development but had been going outside when he wasn't distracted by playing. He is crate trained but sleeps through the night outside of it with no accidents. He would do best with a dog friend to play with and a fenced in backyard to run in. If you would like to meet this dog please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $225. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive - deworming

Story
A few years ago, this sweet girl was found dumped along the fence of our rescue! She was skin and bones and needed immediate help, so we named her MayDay. Our best guess is she around 6 or 7 years old and a Great Dane/ Staffshire terrier mix. She is very gentle, loves people, and really enjoys car rides. Mayday gets along with males, but is not very playful with other dogs. She would do best as the only fur baby in the home. Since she has been a kennel dog her whole life, MayDay is not pot trained so she will need a family who understands that. This dear girl would love a chance to live out her days in the comfort of a home with a family who will love her! If you want to give MayDay that chance, find us at https://www.tailsoftheforgottenpaws.org/ to fill out an application or on facebook (tails of the forgotten paws)

Story
Hi, I'm new to rescue. Please check back to learn more about me once I settle into my foster home, decompress and receive medical care. Follow Just Giants on Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok to watch my journey and receive updates. Dog’s Name: Mika Location: Midlothian, Il Age or Date of Birth: July 1, 2023 Gender: Female Breed: Great Dane Color: Brindle Dogs Weight: 101 Good With Dogs?: Unknown Good with cats?: Unknown Good with kids?: Yes Mika has been in foster care for two days and has really come out of her shell.  She was very timid on day one, but quickly starting showing a desire to get attention from her foster family on day two.  She's now starting to show her playful side.  She hasn't met the resident dogs yet, so we are unable to comment on if she get's along with other dogs yet.  Mika hasn't had any potty accidents in the house, but she hasn't indicated a need to go out either.  She is let out when the resident dogs go out (but separately right now) and she has gone potty each time.  Mika is very timid. Mika is very thin and let's you know when she's hungry.  The resident dogs are fed breakfast and dinner and that's Mika's schedule, however she also wants lunch.  She is very sweet and and gets excited to see her foster family, even if they have been out of the room for just a few minutes.   On night two, Mika made it clear she didn't want to go into her crate, but ultimately gave in. She fussed for about 30 minutes, but we didn't hear a peep out of her after that.   If Mika were adopted today, we would say her adopter needs to give her time to adjust to her new home and family.  She warms up somewhat quickly, but when it comes to her surroundings, she's a bit anxious at first.  A fenced yard would be great so she can run off her extra energy.   It appears a first time giant owner would get a good fit for Mika as she is a gentle girl. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online application with the $25 application donation. All approved applications are good for 12 months. Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. All dogs adopted from Just Giants Rescue are up to date on vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Some exceptions may apply. All adoption fees are non-refundable; Just Giants is a NFP 501(c)3 organization.   Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. Transportation from the foster home to the adopter is the responsibility of the adopter to coordinate. Just Giants does not adopt outside of the continental US. Story
Meet Beefcake, a lovable, goofy, and HUGE 11.5-month-old male Great Dane who’s looking for his forever home! Beefcake is a big guy with a big heart. This gentle giant is super friendly, loves meeting people and adoringly leans on his humans. Beefcake is calm and affectionate at home, but he’s still learning to navigate his size, especially when guests arrive. He’s got some manners to work on, but with some training, he’ll be a wonderful companion. He enjoys being around other dogs, but cats are not his thing. Beefcake would do best with a family who has experience with a Great Dane, who can help him continue learning and growing. Older children are a better match for him due to his tendency to jump when excited. If you're ready to give Beefcake the love and attention he deserves, he’ll be a loyal, affectionate companion for years to come. This beefy sweetheart just needs a little guidance and a lot of love—could it be you? Ready to meet Beefcake? Come see how this big bundle of joy can fit perfectly into your home! Story
Looking for a big, beautiful dog with an even bigger heart? Meet Titan, a darling 4-month-old Great Dane puppy who will instantly steal your heart. This sweet boy is already showing the calm, gentle demeanor Great Danes are famous for, while maintaining that irresistible puppy charm. Titan will follow you around like a faithful shadow, always ready for cuddle time. He loves being near people and welcomes hugs and kisses. He also has adorable moments of playful puppiness that will make your heart melt, like clumsily going after a ball or trying to play with other pups. Titan is interested in other dogs and shows gentle curiosity with cats.Though Titan is a very good boy, his family will need to have patience and remember he is still a puppy – a very big one who can reach counters at only 4-months-old. Titan is learning puppy training basics including being in crate and walking on a leash. We recommend that Titan go to a home who has experience with Great Danes, and understands the unique needs they have.  Titan is the perfect blend of playful puppy and dignified companion. Are you ready to give this sweet boy his forever home? Contact us to meet Titan - but be prepared to fall head over heels in love!
