Meet Pluto – a playful, loving Great Dane mix who’s ready to become your new best friend. At 2 years old and 75 pounds, Pluto is a gentle giant with a heart full of love and a personality to match. He’s house-trained and does well in a crate once he’s inside, though he’s not thrilled about going in at first. Pluto is very dog-friendly, getting along with dogs of all sizes and easily matching their energy. If another dog isn’t in the mood to play, he respectfully backs off without any fuss. He’s also wonderful with children, carefully slowing down and being extra gentle around them. He loves to sleep on a dog bed in his foster parents' room - but occasionally chooses to sleep in bed with his 3-year old human foster sibling. Pluto is an energetic boy who enjoys time in the yard, playing fetch, and romping around the house. About 30 minutes of playtime is usually enough to burn off his energy, and after that, he’s content to relax for the rest of the day. He loves plush squeaky toys and will happily trade some playful mouthiness for a toy. When playtime is over, Pluto wants nothing more than to be near his people. He’s a loyal companion who enjoys curling up next to you on the couch and giving plenty of affectionate kisses. This smart boy already knows "sit," "paw," and "down," and he’s eager to keep learning. Pluto would thrive in a home with lots of activity and would do well in a variety of environments.
