Meet Trixie, a beautiful, fun Great Dane who is about 4 years old and weighs about 100 lbs. Trixie is so very sweet and always wants to cuddle. Does she know that she is 100 lbs and not a lap dog? She certainly does not! She loves to be the center of your world. She is super smart and treat motivated her, so training her has been and will be a joy. She is protective of her home but not at all aggressive, and she has become BFFs with the resident dog. Since she doesn't really understand her size, we would like to place her in a home with kids 12 or older only. We also would like her in a home with a securely fenced in yard. Diesel - Male Great Dane Age: 4 Years Gets along with: Cats: Needs slow introduction Dogs: Yes Kids: Needs slow introduction given size Location: Northeast Indiana Weight: 145 lbs Diesel came into rescue very shutdown, but quickly came out of his shell to a happy Dane, and all that that entails (bouncy boy with a deadly tail). He has fit right in with the three other dogs and cats in his foster home. He is learning what toys are, but doesn’t play much yet. He will follow you around (even when vacuuming) and will help you in the kitchen. He spends the night in his crate, but would prefer sleeping in the bedroom (we will leave that up to his new home). He loves snuggling on the couch, and naps there regularly. He walks on a leash, but needs a little more work. Like most big dogs he like his head and ears scratched, but will turn around so you can scratch his butt. Diesel would fit in almost any family. He is good with other dogs, but would be happy to be the center of attention as an only dog. He would like occasional walks, but is great at taking naps. His recall is still slow, so a fenced yard would be needed. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, the dog is considered available for adoption. Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. Transportation from the foster home to the adopter is the responsibility of the adopter to coordinate. What an adorable little firecracker !! FULL of personality and afraid of nothing! She is confident, curious, LOVES the water and her baby pool. Often times she's the only one willing to get in. LAMAREY lives to be with other dogs and especially adores her humans. She is literally always happy! You cannot rain on her parade! She is kennel trained and almost house trained! She is a joy to have as part of our foster family. LAMAREY is with me in my home in Memphis, Tn. Once adopted , she will travel via Rescue Vet Transport to her new forever family. Once an application has been submitted and approved , I would be happy to speak with you and tell you all of the wonderful things about her ! You will find our volunteer team to be very responsive so please refrain from submitting an application until you are ready to welcome a new forever family member. Transport runs each weekend, leaving Memphis Tennessee Friday morning around 6 AM at which time they start a group chat with the two drivers and all the adopters who have a A Pet on board. Transport is an additional $185.
