I like the other dogs and I will need a dog friend in my forever home who can keep showing me how to live the good life! I love to rough house with the resident dog in my foster home. I do well going for walks on a leash, but I'd love to have a fenced yard to romp in at my forever home! Bonus points if we get to play fetch. I have a favorite yellow ball that I carry with me most of the time, so I'll be extra happy if you throw it for me! I think I'd probably be fine with cats in my forever home, though I haven't met any. I like the older kids I've met and I think I'd also like little ones! A few years ago, this sweet girl was found dumped along the fence of our rescue! She was skin and bones and needed immediate help, so we named her MayDay. Our best guess is she around 6 or 7 years old and a Great Dane/ Staffshire terrier mix. She is very gentle, loves people, and really enjoys car rides. Mayday gets along with males, but is not very playful with other dogs. She would do best as the only fur baby in the home. Since she has been a kennel dog her whole life, MayDay is not pot trained so she will need a family who understands that. This dear girl would love a chance to live out her days in the comfort of a home with a family who will love her! I am already potty and crate trained, though my foster momma says she doesn't need to crate me when she leaves the house because I enjoy lounging in my bed or on the couch until she returns (this life of luxury thing is amazing!) My dream home will include a big family and another dog or two, a fenced yard so I can play with my pals and lounge in the sun. I am pretty low energy overall and do not need a lot of exercise, so an occasional walk would be fine but I am not going to be your marathon training buddy haha! I could use some extra work on my leash walking skills; I was likely previously chained up in my prior life so I am extra alert of my surroundings on walks and can be protective of the other dog in my foster home when we are strolling the neighborhood. He has fit right in with the three other dogs and cats in his foster home. He is learning what toys are, but doesn’t play much yet. He will follow you around (even when vacuuming) and will help you in the kitchen. He spends the night in his crate, but would prefer sleeping in the bedroom (we will leave that up to his new home). He loves snuggling on the couch, and naps there regularly. He walks on a leash, but needs a little more work. Like most big dogs he like his head and ears scratched, but will turn around so you can scratch his butt. Diesel would fit in almost any family. He is good with other dogs, but would be happy to be the center of attention as an only dog. He would like occasional walks, but is great at taking naps. His recall is still slow, so a fenced yard would be needed. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, the dog is considered available for adoption.
