Gremlin is being fostered in NC. Howdy, I'm Gremlin, a 6 month old Great Dane, but don't worry, you CAN get me wet and I won't turn into Spike! I actually LOVE playing in water. My foster Mommy says I am a gentle giant, but I am still a baby and very playful. I need to learn my commands by touch because I cannot see or hear. And, well, I can be a little slower and I need repetitiveness with my training so I can be a very good boy. My foster Mommy is working with me on my manners, but I can be a bit slow because I have a great nose for food wherever it is heehee. It takes me a little time to navigate a new area, but I will get it, just be patient with me. Right now, I have a Cane Corso foster sister to play with and I love playing tug and wrestle with her. I am already potty and crate trained! When I wake in the morning, I will bark to let you know I has to go outside to do my business. I also walk well on a leash. The bestest thing I really love is to have my ears rubbed and to cuddle with humans. I don't know why they feel squished, after all, I'm the same size as a chihuahua aren't I LOL I just want my very own family to love me and guide me along my journey in this life. And, of course, to cuddle with furever. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Scratch is a 1 year old neutered male great dane/terrier mix who weighs 85 lbs. Scratch is looking for a new home after his person was no longer able to keep him due to landlord issues. This guy has been nothing but sweet, but is clearly confused about why he isn't in his home anymore. He will need a family willing to help boost his confidence as he wasn't socialized much in his previous home. He seems to do well with other dogs and previously lived with a small dog without issue. Scratch has SO much potential and has learned so much already! He loves to be with his people and playing with toys. Fetch is his favorite game! He's done well on walks and hasn't been reactive to those he crosses paths with. He is shy with new people at first, but warms up when he's given a chance to feel safe. Scratch loves bananas and cheese, but hates peanut butter. While he loves to play in true puppy fashion, he's also an expert snuggler. Scratch has always known love from his family and cannot wait to land in another home full of kindness and people who love him. Well here we have our fabulous girl Phoenix who was on the loose for some time and finally was caught. We are now looking for a breed experienced person with Danes. she can be weary of new people but once she is out and meets you, she is a sweet girl. Phoenix knows basic commands (sit, paw, down, and double up a Dane thing). she walks nice on leash and a gentle giant when it comes to treats. She can be selective with others, but we did dog test her and she did good, so as always, a meet and greet is required.

Hello, I am Quinn! I came to the shelter as a stray along with a doggie friend. She's since been adopted, and I'm just as frazzled as to why I'm not adopted. I may enjoy living with another dog again, as long as they are fairly calm, because I tend to be a nervous nelly. I am open to living with children of all ages as long as they can respect that I am shy and sensitive at first (I don't seem to know my own size!). I am not sure how I feel about cats but I am willing to try with proper introduction. It may take me some time to come out of my shell, but with patience I will surely be a loving and personable pooch. I may be an older lady but that doesn't mean I am any less deserving of a wonderful family, happiness, and companionship for the rest of my life!My foster has learned that I am housebroken, and that after a bit of time letting me come out of my shell, I'll open up and start letting you know what I want, which is usually a cuddle on the couch.
