Story
Dog Name: Winx Breed: Dane mix Sex: Female Age: 7 weeks Weight: 6lbs Medical Needs: Will need to be spayed once she's old enough. That appointment will be scheduled by Grass Roots Rescue, and must be kept as a condition of adoption (location options will be Georgetown, Dover or Wilmington). Foster to adopt family must live within 1 hour of Delaware to ensure she can be brought back for her appointment, and will also need to be willing to have her stomach tacked with their vet (at their expense) when she’s of age if it is recommended based on her size. Housebroken: No Crate trained: No Good in the car: Yes Good on a leash: Hasn't had one yet Energy level: Puppy! Need a fenced in yard: No, leashed walks will be fine Dog Friendly: Yes If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No Cat Friendly? Yes Kid Friendly? Yes If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any age with proper supervision Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Smallest girl? Yes. Meekest? Not on your life. Winx is a big personality packed in a little body. Her siblings do what she says, when she says it, and that's just how it's gonna be, thank you. When I scoop her up, I'm granted kisses and allowed to kiss her in return, but it isn't long before she's wiggling to be back on the ground so she can continue doing what she pleases, until she's ready to be held again. Fosters Location: Felton, DE Application can be found here: https://www.grrde.org/adoption-application (if you already have an approved application on file email GrassRootsDE@gmail.com and ask the app team to pull your app) ##2236064##

Any age with proper supervision. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Don't let the name intimidate you - the worst thing this boy will do is climb you like a tree and try to lick you to death. He is bold and comical, constantly hiding under his mother to escape the prison that is the puppy room so that he can go running off to explore and say hello to whoever crosses his path. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Tapit is a gentle soul. She wants to be held and carried around like a little princess, and will reward you with the sweetest of kisses as payment for doing so. About the only time I hear this girl throw any kind of a fit is when it's time to eat, and I think she's just wailing because everyone else is, too. Citation is the biggest of the girls, and probably the most mellow of the three of them. She tends to hang back in the fray while the others jump for attention, and once it's her turn to be scooped up, she settles right into my arms like it's what she's been waiting for the whole time. The first puppy to venture the length of the house and back, tagging along at my heels because he was simply too impatient to wait with the rest of his siblings while I got them their food. It's become routine now - I go, and Red Rum follows, my faithful little shadow who stops to say hello to the other dogs along the way.
