A litter of 8 puppies and their Mom were living in neglectful conditions. The owner agreed to surrender the dogs to animal control. Mom, Honolulu, was said to be a mix of Golden Retriever, Hound, & Shepherd. Dad was also said to be a Golden mix too. The puppies were taken to the vet to be checked and all are happy & playful. They get along with people, other dogs and cats as well. Tallahassee is about 3-4 months old and 15 pounds. Please help Tallahassee find the loving home she deserves. Honolulu's litter of 8 - Albany, Boise, Juneau, Madison, Phoenix, Raleigh, Tallahassee, & Charleston (only boy) ***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. Her future family should be understanding and gentle, celebrating small victories and giving her the time and reassurance she needs to truly shine and grow into the happy, confident dog shes meant to be.WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Mochi spent her entire life as a breeding dog in a puppy mill. When her 'breeders' decided they no longer had a use for her, they planned to discard her. Thankfully, WISE was able to step in and rescue her giving her a second chance to experience the love and warmth of a real home. Now shes ready to start that new chapter!Personality: Mochi is a sweet and loving girl. She is shy and timid, but shes already starting to come out of her shell by watching and learning from her foster sibling. A home with another friendly, well-adjusted dog would be ideal, as having a canine companion helps her feel secure and encourages her to explore the world with more confidence.
