A litter of 8 puppies and their Mom were living in neglectful conditions. The owner agreed to surrender the dogs to animal control. Mom, Honolulu, was said to be a mix of Golden Retriever, Hound, & Shepherd. Dad was also said to be a Golden mix too. Mom will be available for adoption at a later date after she gains some healthy weight and can be spayed. The puppies were taken to the vet to be checked and all are happy & playful. They get along with people, other dogs and cats as well. Albany is about 10 weeks old and 8 pounds. Please help Albany find the loving home she deserves. Honolulu's litter of 8 - Albany, Boise, Juneau, Madison, Phoenix, Raleigh, Tallahassee, & Charleston (only boy) ***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes. Meet Mallow - (Korean Name is Mandu) Mallow is a mixed breed, likely a blend of Retriever and Jindo. He currently weighs about 51 lbs. He entered a city shelter when he was around two years old. It's believed he was abandoned because he was highly excitable and barked a lot at the time. I rescued him just one day before his scheduled euthanasia. At that time, he was heartworm positive. Fortunately, he has now completed his treatment and been fully cured! After more than six months of consistent training, Mallow has transformed into a gentle and wonderful dog. He has great leash manners and absolutely adores people, showering them with affection. Mallow also gets along very well with other dogs. However, he can be a bit jealous, so we hope he can find a forever home where he can be the only pet. Fluffy and pure white like a marshmallow, Mallow will make a truly perfect companion. 🐾 Mallow is currently staying at a training center in South Korea, waiting patiently for his forever family. Once he finds an adoptive family, he can travel anywhere across the United States. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and has even completed a full dental cleaning!
