Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.3/29/26 Here we have Balki. He has so many great qualities about him and loves everyone but for whatever reason, nobody has adopted him. His foster mom did a DNA test on him and despite his looks, he is 30% Golden Retriever! 22% American Staffordshire Terrier, 18% Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 18% American Pit Bull Terrier, and 11% Mini Bull Terrier. Don't let the 'Bully breeds' in him stop you. He is a GREAT dog!! All about him: Balki is a super sweet and loving boy who is good with everyone-cats, dogs, and kids. He is fully house trained and crate trained. He has long legs and a slim build. He loves other dogs and does well with cats. Great with kids! He is about 8-9 months old. We believe he may have been dumped before he ended up in rescue because he is scared of cars. When walking on leash, if he is near a car or truck, he gets visibly scared and will try to pull away. Once he is inside the car he does fine. He just has some emotional scars that are still healing. But he's getting better all the time, thanks to a foster helping him feel safe. He will likely be a big boy once grown. We believe he will be around 60 lbs once grown. He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.   Balki is located in Arkansas. He can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays.   To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾💙 Meet Mickey — Your Future Best Friend (and Professional Joy Bringer) 💙🐾 Male • ~4 Months Old • ~28 lbs (expected 55–60 lbs full grown) Golden Retriever / Great Pyrenees Mix (best guess) If happiness had four legs and a wagging tail… it would look a whole lot like Mickey. 💛 At just 4 months old, Mickey is already mastering the art of being the perfect mix of playful puppy and snuggly sweetheart. He’s the kind of pup who greets life with a happy heart, a curious nose, and a “what are we doing next?!” attitude. Currently around 28 pounds, Mickey is on track to grow into a big, lovable, adventure-ready companion — the kind of dog who can keep up on the trails and then happily crash at your feet (or in your lap… he hasn’t quite figured out his future size yet). Mickey is: • Wonderful with people of all sizes • Great with other dogs • Doing fantastic with house training (smart boy alert!) • A total lover of life and all things fun Cats are still unknown, but at his young age, with proper introductions, he should do just fine. Now let’s talk about his specialties — because Mickey is a certified puppy professional: • Zoomies (fast, frequent, and slightly dramatic) • Toy collecting (sharing optional) • Exploring everything like it’s brand new (because it is!) • Giving you that look that says “I’m cute, you forgive me, right?” • Falling asleep mid-play because being this adorable is exhausting He’s a little sponge right now, soaking up the world and learning all the good stuff — routines, manners, and how to be someone’s very best friend. Mickey would be the perfect fit for a family who wants a dog that will: • Be active and playful • Love deeply and snuggle often • Join in on adventures big and small • Bring daily laughs (and probably a few “what are you doing?!” moments) Mickey isn’t just looking for a home — he’s looking for his people. The ones who will laugh at his puppy antics, love him through his growing-up phase, and cherish him for the amazing dog he’s becoming. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Mickey bring the love, the laughs, and the puppy magic into your life. 🐾💛

Story
Maggie was homeless for a long time. A kind gentleman tried for months to safely capture her. She became pregnant and had her puppies in the woods, and that’s when she was finally able to be brought to safety. Adjusting to life inside a home has been a big change for Maggie. In the beginning she was very shut down, and it has taken a few months for her to start trusting her person. She loves other dogs, gets adorably excited at mealtime, and while new people can be a little scary for her, she always remains gentle and sweet—even when she’s unsure. Maggie will need a very patient, understanding family who is willing to continue working with her and help her grow into a more confident dog. She would do best in a quiet home, ideally with fewer people and not a lot of activity, where she can feel safe and continue building her confidence. With time and love, she truly blossoms. 🚨 IMPORTANT ADOPTION NOTICE: Maggie can only be adopted within Arkansas. If you are out of state and interested in adopting her, you must be willing to travel to Arkansas to pick her up. No transport is available. 🚨 Maggie is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and currently undergoing heartworm treatment. If you’d like to make Maggie part of your family, please complete our adoption application. 🐾
