Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Tucker! Tucker is approximately 2 years old, 72 lbs currently and he might have some Lab in his mix! Tucker was surrendered and found out to be heartworm positive. He`s spent the last few months in his southern foster home getting plenty of TLC and going through heartworm treatment. He is now heartworm negative and ready for adoption!Tucker is high energy and needs an active household. He could join households with other high energy and playful dogs and/or dog-savvy kids. No cats, please! His foster says, Tucker is a BEAUTIFUL, LOVING BOY!! He is so happy to see me and he lets me know it. Tucker loves to run and play with his foster sister Annie. He walks very well on his leash ( harness) with no issues. Tucker loves running in our back yard.....He is very well behaved. He is always so happy to meet new people. This big boy is going to make a family very happy. I hope the family that adopts Tucker will see him the way I do. He is an amazing, loving dog. I have been so blessed being able to foster him. He is taking a piece of my heart with him.`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth mid to late January. Story
Maggie is about 5 yrs old. We know she was rescued in another state, but she has been confirmed to be a full blooded golden retriever. She is currently living with another dog and a cat. She harasses the cat, but is not aggressive toward her. She would really do best in a more active home (we are older and retired) where she is the center of attention (no other pets). She is obedience trained, very sweet, housebroken and always eager to learn. So, why are we rehoming her? She gets very excited; in a friendly way (she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body) when she sees unfamiliar dogs and sometimes people. When this happens it creates a perfect storm, and makes it unsafe for either of us to walk the two dogs together. My partner has fallen several times when she lunged toward another dog or person causing the other dog to get excited, making it nearly impossible for him to manage both dogs. As we are older, the risk of falling is too scary.

Story
Peyton is a high-energy, bouncy boy who is full of enthusiasm and personality. He’s still learning his manners and will need a committed adopter who can provide consistent training, structure, and guidance. Peyton would thrive in an active home where daily exercise and positive reinforcement are part of the routine.Because of his jumpy behavior and training needs, Peyton is best suited for an adult-only home. In his previous home, he did not do well with children, so a kid-free environment is required to help him succeed. With patience and consistency, Peyton has the potential to become a wonderful companion for the right person.

Story
**Oakley is not at Baypath, and this is a courtesy posting for Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue. Please contact them directly to learn more adopting him! https://ygrr.org/profile/oakley/ ** Hi, I’m Oakley — a handsome mix of Golden Retriever heart and German Shepherd smarts. I’m a super loving guy, especially with my people. Once I trust you, I’m loyal, affectionate, and happiest curled up close, soaking in all the love. I bond deeply, and I’m really just looking for someone who wants a devoted companion by their side. I also want to be honest — I have some big feelings when I’m on a leash. New people and dogs can make me nervous, and sometimes I react because I’m not sure what to do. I’m working on it, though, and I hope my future family will be patient and ready to help me keep learning. I promise I’m worth the effort. Because I can get overwhelmed, I’d do best as the only dog in the home. And while I think teens are great, young kids aren’t the best match for me — their energy and unpredictability can be a lot for a sensitive guy like me. With the holiday season here, I’m dreaming of a cozy home, soft lights, warm blankets, and a forever family to share it all with. If you’re someone who believes in patience, understanding, and the magic of second chances, I’d love to make this season the start of our story. **Oakley is not at Baypath, and this is a courtesy posting for Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue.
