Story
ORION is a 2 year old, male mixed breed dog that weighs 48 lbs. From his foster mom "He is 98% joyful pup, 2% brat and 100% worth it!" Adopt Me! takes pride in getting to know our dogs well so we can ensure a proper fit, forever home. This is extra important when we have a dog like Orion. We sent him out as a 14 week old puppy. At this young age, he had no issues. He was returned a year later with an ounce or two of attitude. Orion lives for car rides, a good brushing, snuggle sessions, a nap in a clean laundry pile and the chance to play to with other dogs. He is obedience trained (from a tour in our Paws Behind Bars Prison Dog Training Program). He is also leash, crate and house trained. He also knows the "place" and "touch" command. Orion is all about exercising his intelligence capabilities and is a very motivated learner. The brat factor? Trainers have shared that Orion probably grew up, during his formative time, without proper boundaries. When dogs grow up without boundaries, they create their own. Through their eyes, there is nothing wrong with this, they need order in their lives. On the other hand, the inability to "share", can cause issues. But not to fear! The scale is so heavily weighted in Orion's favor, for all the good qualities he has, that the "not sharing" can be easily managed. It will simply take the right person. He will need a kind, patient but disciplined home. He will benefit from continued obedience training. Another young dog in the house would be perfect! If interested in adopting, our process begins with submission of our application. Please visit our website at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com and click on Orion's picture in "Adoptable Dogs". Additional adoption FAQ's can be found here also. Meets will be set with approved applicants based on our "best family fit" approach. Thank you!

Story
Hi. My name is snowball. I am a really good boy. My daddy adopted me about eight months ago but he got sick and passed away. That made me so sad. His daughter has been coming to my house and feeding me and my little beagle mix brother everyday and making sure we are ok. But she is in school so she can’t spend very much time with us. She already has three dogs of her own or she would take us to her house. I am a very playful guy. I love running in the yard and playing with my brother. I never potty in the house cause my daddy said that was bad. I love to fetch my toys when someone will throw them. Also my caretaker says that even though I have long hair, she hasn’t seen any evidence of me shedding. I would really love to go home with someone who has a fenced in yard that I can run in. But at night, I have to be inside sleeping on my soft doggy pad. My daddy even taught me a few tricks like to sit and give him my paw.
