Story
Friends, say hello to Lucky! 🍀 While this guy’s actual luck is a matter of perspective, we hope his name will manifest a great new life for him in 2025! Lucky was rescued with a shattered femur by some Good Samaritans who took him to the vet, paid for the surgery to amputate his leg, and have offered to foster him while we find a great home for him. Lucky also has one nonfunctional eye and he doesn't see so great in the dark/ very dim lighting but he compensates very well. So while Lucky may only have three legs and less than 20/20 vision, he is the Very Best Boy! He is kid approved (he's currently in foster care with young children), he gets along very well with the dog in his foster home, and he has been a great house guest for his foster family. He is 6-7 years old and has a nice, moderate energy level, he is potty trained, and crate trained. This guy is sweet and easy. We will share more photos of this handsome fellow soon but have included a video so you can get a better idea of his demeanor and how well he plays with the dog in his foster home (who is also a tripaw). If you think you might be the right fit for this great guy, we'd love to talk to you! Lucky is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested positie for heartworms and will finish all treatment in our care prior to adoption. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Jeter is a sweet little 4 month old pup who is ready to bring the fun to their new home. He is well socialized, loves his dog friends, and is super smart. This good boy is going to make a great new addition to his home. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pup’s at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. Story
Looking for a sweet golden boy? You found me. I am Jango and I love everyone and everything (though I haven't tried cats yet). I am a sweet boy who is ready to find my forever home with someone who needs a walking pal, a cuddle confidante and a canine vacuum. If you have other dogs... that's great, if not.... that's great too. Just me and you's will work, I am just wanting a family of my very own. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Welcome Twinkie to CCPAL Rescue. Twinkie is a 10-week-old puppy. She is a Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix. She weighs about 12 pounds. She should be about 50 pounds full grown. She has a soft coat and is soft and relaxed when you pick her up. They were all rescued from a hoarding situation. They were timid when coming in to the Rescue. None got a lot of human interaction. They now get lots of interaction and are very sweet and becoming very social. They like play time with their siblings and are currently microchipped and getting all their puppy vaccinations. They have a soft coat and are not too big of shedders at the moment. She has big webbed feet and she is smallest in her litter of 3. She is the one that looks more Golden Retriever then the other 2. She should also be the smallest full grown. She has a slightly curly tail. She is learning leash work and kennel training. She would be fine in a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Puppies are best with someone that doesn’t work 8 hours a day 5 days a week away from home. They need time with their owners and will need someone home to help in their potty training. Twinkie is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 if you have any questions. Please go to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com with questions. You can get an application online at www.ccpalrescue.org

Story
Welcome Moe to CCPAL Rescue. Moe is a 10-week-old puppy. He is a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix is our best guess. He weighs about 12 pounds. He has huge webbed feet and should be about 75-80 pounds full grown. He has a soft coat and is soft and relaxed when you pick him up. They were all rescued from a hoarding situation. They were timid when coming in to the Rescue. None got a lot of human interaction before coming to the REscue. They now get lots of interaction and are very sweet and becoming very social. They like play time with their siblings and are currently microchipped and getting all their puppy vaccinations. They have a soft coat and are not too big of shedders at the moment. Moe is the biggest in the litter of 3. He is the one that looks like a Great Pyrenees with Golden ears and coloration. He should also be the biggest full grown and has no extra toes on the back feet. She is learning leash work and kennel training. She would be fine in a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Puppies are best with someone that doesn’t work 8 hours a day 5 days a week away from home. They need time with their owners and will need someone home to help in their potty training.
