Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.3/14/25 Chloe Chloe is a very astute pup! She is an absolute sweetheart, very playful, smart and is picking things up very quickly. She is 25lbs+ of energy, and growing. She is hilarious in the house when zoomies arise; darting from one end to the other, up and over her foster sisters. It is quite the event. Chloe’s favorite thing to do is go outside into the woods. I think she actually prefers outside in the warmth or cold than inside the house. Any chance she gets to roll in the leaf litter and burry as far as she can into what is left of the snow. She is a lab mix, but I’d say she has some type of hearty dog breed mixed in because she prefers the cooler temps. She will be an excellent hiking buddy! We hope for Chloe to go to a home where there is already another dog in the home. She is a bit shy and would benefit from having another confident dog in the home.  She is about 4 months old. Her mom is about 30lbs and looks like a mini Golden Retriever. It is likely that Chloe is very mixed with several breeds. Dad is unknown. Chloe is-• Fully crate trained, sleeping through the night • Practicing going potty outside and she is doing very well with that. • Great with other dogs. Interested in cats in a playful, not harmful, kind of way.• Young enough to learn to be gentle with children. • Very shy at first, and will find every hidey hole imaginable, but she warms up fast. And once she does, watch out, it’s all puppy kisses, snuggles, and zoomies after that! She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. We have videos of this girl too. Facebook won’t let us post pics and videos together, shoot us a message and we’ll send you the videos! In New England To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any details questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
This pretty girl is Terra. She is 9-months old and weighs 42 lb. We expect she will be about 55 lb when full grown. Our best breed guess is Golden retriever/airedale. Terra is very sweet and affectionate. She loves people and also is great with other dogs. Terra has a medium energy level and likes to play with toys. She will be great on walks, hikes and all kinds of outdoor adventures. Since she can be a little lacking in self-confidence at times, we recommend kids 10 and up. We know Terra is going to thrive out of the shelter and in a home setting. We don't know what Terra thinks of cats but can cat-test her if needed. Terra is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and healthy. Her adoption fee is $400. If you would like to meet/adopt Terra, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms or stop by our shelter Wednesday-Sunday between 12 and 6 PM. The DAWS shelter address is 147 Grassy Plain St. Bethel. Email daws@daws.org if you need assistance or have any questions. Terra can't wait to meet you!

Story
This handsome boy is Colby. He is 3-years-old and weighs 53 lb. We are not sure of his breed mix. He has a soft longer fur coat so maybe golden retriever mixed with shepherd or collie? Colby is a friendly, affectionate and confident boy. He looks serious in his photos but not so! Colby has medium energy and enjoys being outside. He is great with other dogs and should be fine with kids. An active home would be ideal, where he can go on hikes and other outdoor adventures. Colby is going to make someone a great companion! We don't know what Colby thinks of cats but can cat-test him if needed. Colby is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and healthy. His adoption fee is $400. If you would like to meet/adopt Colby, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms or stop by our shelter Wednesday-Sunday between 12 and 6 PM. Story
Everyone needs to see this beauty 💙🐾 Millie is a 3 year old Italian Sheepdog/Great Pyrenees mix. Besides being unbelievably photogenic, she is also the most gentle, well-mannered, loving, sweet, sweet dog. She was surrendered by her owner after she killed a small pig (to be fair, pork is delicious), but she could no longer remain in her home. She is great with other dogs, people, kids, maybe just no other small animals. She had been an outside dog her entire life before coming into rescue, but she has quickly become kennel trained. If you are hoping to adopt a rescue with nearly zero baggage (you know, the small animal thing) that will be ready to give and receive love from day one, will be friendly with visitors and enjoy going to the dog park….this may be your girl. She could very well end up being the best dog you’ve ever had 💙🐾FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN.
