Story
Meet Marsha, a delightful bundle of joy wrapped in fur. This sweet puppy is a wellspring of love and friendliness, ready to shower you with puppy kisses and tail wags. She's got a heart full of warmth and an eager spirit that lights up any room she enters. Her charm is irresistible, her company, a joy. Marsha is also a fine girl who knows her manners, making her an excellent addition to any home. She's got an abundance of love to give and she's waiting for the perfect family to share it with. Adopt Marsha and let her fill your life with love, laughter, and the purest form of friendship. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Meet our very handsome Golden Retriever boy named Lancelot, or Lance for short! We believe Lance is around 5 years old, and he came to our shelter after someone claimed to have found him as a stray dog in town. Lance is a very friendly and sweet boy who absolutely loves people! He is a goofy guy that will rub up on your for attention. Lance is a bit overweight right now, currently weighing around 87 lbs. He could use a bit of a diet and some nice walks to help get his figure back. Lance did have an ear infection when he first came in. He has received medication for this, but his ears will need to be checked on often to help prevent another infection. Lance is a really great dog that will make a family very happy! He is good with other dogs and he can go to a home with children 10 years old and older. If you are interested in adopting Lancelot, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! His adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. For more info please call 203-235-4179 (Always Leave A Message) or email adopt@savingpawsct.org

Story
Meet me at 348 Old Colony Rd. Eastford, CT Meet our Lefou! He came to rescue with his 2 brothers Cogsworth and Lumiere from a home that surrendered because they had "too many dogs" These handsome, sweet, big pups are fantastic! They are very demure, gentle and incredibly cute! The shelter is a loud scary place for them, but outside they are a whole new dog! All of them are neutered, micro chipped and medically up to date.
