Story
Welcome to Hank from CCPAL foster program. He is a 3.5 to 4 year old Golden Retreiver/Shepherd dog. He is very smart and affectionate. He has upright ears. He does not jump up, good on a leash, good in a car, knows sit command, potty trained and good with other dogs and kids. He would be a great pet for a family. He lives in a house with other dogs and does great. He also lives with cats. He is currently in foster care until we find his forever home. He weighs about 36 pounds and is a medium sized dog. He could easily go in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is super friendly to all people including strangers. He could be adopted locally in Texas, which is where he is right now or we could work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!! https://youtu.be/ACKjmvNOwWA

Story
Welcome Shaggy to CCPAL Rescue. Shaggy is a Golden Retriever/Dachshund or Corgi mixed dog. This is our best guess. He weighs about 15 pounds and has the look of a miniature Golden Retriever. His coat looks very much like and feels like a Golden. He is the most outgoing and social of the 3 that came from the home of the bad human. He initial human sexually abused these dogs. We are working on getting them on a good routine and schedules with lots of wonderful attention and assurance that humans are mostly good people. As you can see from the video, this dog is extremely loving and trusting. He has an incredibly soft coat. A good samaratin got them out of the previous place and sought out CCPAL for help. These dogs are not fully potty trained. He is decent on a leash and we are working on crate training and potty pad work. He is good with other dogs and will be neutered soon and looking for his forever home. He would be fine in a home with children due to his sweet nature. We like children to be 8 or older. He would make a nice walking companion for a retired person. He would also be fine in a setting like Starbucks. He is very friendly with all people, including strangers. He has already started his vaccinations and will be ready for his loving forever home soon. This dog will get lots of applications due to his breed, nature and looks. Please be patient if you put in an application. We will assess them all before making calls back and starting reference checks. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can use one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Available for Adoption... 1.5 year old AKC Golden Retriever Spayed and up to date on vaccines. Would do best with an active home that can keep her busy and stay on top of her training. Dog and family friendly but probably best in a home with older kids. House and crate trained, has some obedience training but still needs some work. Story would prefer a home with a pool or some sort of water (or mud👀😂) access and some tennis balls.

Prima is a very sweet pup. She is very shy and quiet, when she gets to know you she will run over with a wagging tail and a million kisses. She has a very good temperament. She was born on 12/21/2023 She will be ready to move into her forever home by Valentines! She will be dewormed as well as have her first round of vaccines. I can provide any additional information. Her mother is Cane Corso mixed with Husky and her father is a pure bred Golden Retriever so she will be a really big dog. If you are interested please provide some information about yourself and the type of home she would be going to.

Name: LuckyBreed: Chesapeake Bay Retriever MixAge: 2 years oldKids: Over 12Dogs: YesCats: NoOur lovely Lucky has been hanging out in foster care while searching for her forever home! Though she is loving life in her foster home, Lucky thinks it's about time she finds her family!Lucky is 2 years old and is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mix. This pretty girl loves attention and is super affectionate! Lucky has a ton of energy so she would benefit from someone who has an active lifestyle that can take her running or hiking and preferably a home with a fenced-in yard where she can get all her zoomies out! Lucky loves chasing the tennis ball and zipping around her fosters yard! Don't get her wrong, Lucky likes her quiet time at home hanging out with her foster dad and just relaxing. Lucky girl loves everyone she meets, is very trusting of people, and bonds quickly! This girl will be glued to your side in a minute and be your bestie!Lucky likes other dogs, though she sometimes doesn't know how big she is, so would prefer a canine companion comparable in size or one who can handle her energetic play style. We are saying children over 12 for Lucky because she can get a bit excited at times and jumpy when greeting people, but she's working hard on her manners.Lucky is housebroken, crate-trained, spayed, microchipped, and UTD on her vaccinations. If you are interested in Lucky, please fill out an adoption application today! https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27
