Story
Lily was surrendered to us by a neighbor who thought she would be a good companion for our other dog. We have had her for about 18 months and while she is a sweet dog, our lives have changed and we need to rehome her. She only has a small yard to run in and we are expecting a baby in the spring.

Story
Ava came to us a 9 week old puppy suffering from Megaesophagus secondary to PRAA. This is a condition in which the esophagus will not move the food down her throat as it should. Ava has surgery to correct her PRAA and it did lessen the severity of her Mega Esophagus but didnt totally correct it. Ava must eat her food after its been soaked and blended in a blender and she needs to eat out of an elevated feeder. She drinks water normally. Ava does have allergies that are controlled with a daily medication.. Ava loves other dogs and cats and children however she's incredibly bossy and rather possessive over things and will growl and snarl at other animals that come near her toy or bone she's chewing. Most of the animals in her foster home ignore her and walk away.. She is potty trained and crate trained. She needs a family that will be diligent on ensuring that no small objects are left where she can get them because they can pose choking hazards for her with her mega E. Please take a few minutes to read up on Megaesophagus to see what it is and what care is required for a dog with the condiotion if you feel you are interested in Ava.

Story
Meet Marble, a 6-year-old sweetheart looking for her forever home. Marble is super friendly with people and loves nothing more than cuddling on the couch. She’s also a fan of windy days, happily chasing leaves outside for hours. A vigilant watchdog, Marble will let you know when the delivery driver arrives! Marble is housebroken, loves her morning and evening walks, and can relax by your side for hours. She’s happiest as the only dog in the home and would do best with adults or families with children aged 5 and up. Marble can be snappy with little ones if they get too close when she’s resting, so she needs a family that respects her space. Marble would thrive in a home with outdoor access, like a doggy door and a fenced yard, where she can enjoy her freedom. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to fill your home with love, Marble might be the perfect fit.

Story
Adira was found running at large in Memphis and was subsequently brought to a veterinary clinic by a kind MPD Officer. She was severely emaciated and scared. “Addie” as she has come to be known, quickly made herself at home at her Foster’s farm while she gained weight and recuperated. She is now around 65 pounds and estimated to be 2-3 years old. Addie loves to play ball, go on long walks through the woods, run, ride in cars, and snuggle. She is wonderful for baths, tolerates nail trims, and more than anything, just wants to be anywhere her human is. Although she is high energy when the opportunity presents itself, Addie would make a suitable apartment dog for someone who works from home. Her foster family works from home and she spends the entire workday snuggled on her bed beside her foster mom while she works. Addie is kennel trained, but she is a large dog and would not be suited for kenneling all day while family or individual works. Addie will do best with an active lifestyle and plenty of time for play. She does need to be the only dog as she is an alpha female and does not share her humans or her territory. Addie is deeply loyal and very protective. She is friendly to new people if her person is friendly to them. Once adopted she will travel via private transport Rescue Vet (transport cost is $160.00) to a location closest to you. Story
Everyone meet Jax! This super sweet shy guy is one amazing pup with a huge heart. Jax is going to need someone very patient with him. He needs time to adjust. That’s all he needs is time and patience. He’s timid initially, but once warmed up, he steals the show and your heart at the same time. He would probably do better with someone with another dog. Jax is great with other dogs and puppies and they help him feel more comfortable which allows him to come out of his shell quicker. He loves walks and car rides!!! Jax has fostered with two of our fosters here in Memphis and they would both be happy to give you a little more information about him. We can’t wait to find him a wonderful home of his own so he can settle in and adjust for good. Once adopted, Jax will travel via RescueVet Transport to his new family. They travel each and every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this amazing guy part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Butter is one exquisite boy! He is a 4 1/2-year-old mix of Carolina Dog and Shepherd and has reached his mature weight of 50-55 pounds. He wears a medium coat of red and gold that shimmers in the sun. He is a good boy who knows a few commands including &#194&#147sit&#194&#148 and &#194&#147shake" and gently takes his reward treat from your hand. Butter is very easy going and loves other dogs; however, he is not a fan of cats. We ask that any children in the home be older than 12 years because we feel that a loud home may frighten our dear Butter. This affectionate boy loves giving hugs, being brushed, and receiving belly rubs and his favorite activities are walking and playing with tennis balls. Butter would love nothing more than to complete your home sweet home. (ME, 11/8/23)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.October 15, 2024, 11:15 am
