Story
REAGAN NEEDS A HOME!  (courtesy post - if you are interested, use the contact info at the end of this post)  From Reagan's current caretaker:   "Reagan is a beautiful and loving eight-year-old female German Shepherd. She is very loving and has soulful eyes that seem to say “love me” every time you look at her. Her owner is unable to care for her due to illness. Reagan is looking for a nice home where she can lay by her person or people and would benefit from a yard as well. She has lived in a family with multiple dogs, and there has been no aggression that we know of. We are fostering in our home and cannot foster her inside because two of my older dogs are aggressive towards her. So, she and her son, Sunny Boy are being fostered by us and living in a large pen. They are used to running free and aren’t too happy with the situation, but are taking it in stride and want nothing more than as much attention and love as we can give them. Reagan is definitely a dominant female, as she kept all of the other boy dogs at her house in check over the years. She is extremely intelligent and eager to please. Reagan is a spade female and will be up-to-date on all vaccinations and heartworm testing. I guess Reagan would be considered a senior citizen. She definitely doesn’t act like it, as she plays with Sunny boy and still runs around our farm with ease. We know that she has been aggressive to a cat at one time, but she also has been around cats her whole life and not bothered them. Therefore, it would be best if she went to a home without a cat, just in case. I can say for sure that anybody who adopts Reagan will have a friend and loyal and loving companion for as long as she lives. She has had a rough life, but that is a story to be discussed if you’re interested in adopting her. Please contact Lindy at (304)646-5051 or at Greenspiritwv@frontier.com"  November 14, 2024, 6:28 pm

Story
Steve is goofy, sweet hound boy who is looking for a place he will be loved forever. He is really having a hard time adapting to the shelter environment. Being surrounded by rambunctious, noisy other dogs has his constantly on edge, so he is looking for a way out! Steve is a very sweet, playful guy who loves to go for long line walks, work for treats, and explore new places. He may need a slow introduction to new people, but it doesn't take much to be on this guy's side. The best kind of home for Steve: Steve is looking for a home where he can be the main attraction. He does well with more laid back other dogs, but Steve prefers to be the only pup. He lived with cats and children previously, so he should have no trouble adapting to them in a home. Steve needs a home where he can just hang out an do his own thing without being forced into affection. He would rather play than be affectionate!

Story
Mila is a 2 year old German Shepherd/Husky mix. She came to rescue in September and has adjusted well to the sights and sounds of her new home. Mila is a high energy girl who is curious and well-mannered. She responds well to food rewards and commands and already knows how to sit when told. She is confident but not aggressive, making her an excellent candidate for formal training. Mila is people and dog friendly. She is up to date on all required vaccines, is spayed, and is ready for her forever home. She would do well as a member of an active family. If you're looking for a hiking or running buddy, Mila just might be your girl. Upon request, additional photos and videos of Mila interacting with people and other dogs can be made available.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello! My name is Abigail, I was brought to the Olive Branch as a stray by a nice lady and sadly I wasnt claimed... I am a energetic but sweet girl that loves to play. I love to try and chase cats when I see them and I get along with some dogs here but not all. I love attention from the staff and the treats they give when I get a commad right. I have been spayed, 4dx combo tested, current on vaccinations and preventatives. I tested positive with Lyme disease and had to be treated with a 30 day cycle of Doxycycline. I would love a meet and greet before I am adopted and meet you and your companion. If interested please visit: www.olivebranchwv.org to fill out an application. I hope to see you soon...Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 7, 2024, 2:06 pm

Lily was surrendered to us by a neighbor who thought she would be a good companion for our other dog. We have had her for about 18 months and while she is a sweet dog, our lives have changed and we need to rehome her. She only has a small yard to run in and we are expecting a baby in the spring.
