Story
JACK- 1 Year & 7 Months Jack was recently surrendered by owner due to not getting along with his litter mates and his parents.  The owner states he does well with other dogs that are not related to him, although he has shown resource guarding tendencies so food and toys should be kept separate.  He likes playing with tennis balls and being a goof ball himself. He has never been around children and would not do well with cats.  He enjoys lounging on the couch watching tv with his person, but he can also be energetic and playful like the pup he is.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 6, 2025, 10:17 pm

Story
Berger Blanc Suisse (White Swiss Shepherd). He is a very sweet and smart dog. Very good with children, women, and other dogs. He is a great pet for someone that has time for walks and play daily. We are a very busy household and unfortunately cannot give him all the attention that he needs or deserves. He is very chill in the home and lays around most of the day. He is a great alarm system and will alert you if anyone comes near the door. He is trained on basic commands. No jumping, doesn't climb on furniture. He loves to play fetch and loves a good belly rub.

Story
Luke came from a rural shelter where he was surrendered.  He is 8 yrs old and has been chained most of his life- he has a permanent bald ring around his neck from the chain.  Despite that, he is a sweet boy who is learning to be an inside dog.  He is learning to calm himself by going into his crate when he feels overwhelmed.  He has taken a great liking to his foster dad and will get into his lap to calm himself.  Luke will be starting heart worm treatment soon and will be available at the end of the treatment.  He needs a 6 ft privacy fenced and a family with older respectful kids as he can be too much for little ones when he gets the zoomies.  We don't think he would be good with cats because he shows too much interest in those outside.  He needs a family who is willing to be patient with him and show him what a loving family is and one who will always take good care of him.  If you are looking for a sweet boy who desperately wants to be part of someone's family and are willing to be patient and love him unconditionally, please contact Rainbow Rescue at :  rainbowanimalrescueva@gmail.com or call at 757-472-1583April 12, 2026, 3:56 pm

Story
Phoenix is insanely playful and energetic. She would do really good in a home with no kids, and people who are okay with either putting her away with company, or don’t have too much traffic in and out of the house. She is not a fan of people, and it’s been since she was a puppy. She knows sit, down, come, and place. She has done lots of training to help with reactivity towards dogs and people on walks, and has made huge strides. She will need someone who is capable of reinforcing training.
